Hmmmmm. We managed two episodes before we made a joint decision to bail.

It looks beautiful, some really great cinematography. But that's just like false advertising really, because it's all a bit confused about what it wants to be. It seems to aiming for a bit of gritty realism, but it's all a bit hackneyed.

Clunky dialogue, tissue thin plot lines, every character is a cliche, worse acting than Grange Hill. I wanted to like it, honestly, but it was awful. Enjoy.

bit like that smashing Christmas pressie you got.

Big Box
Pretty Wrapping Paper
Great Big Red Bow
Lovely Greeting Card

you get through that only to find a gift voucher for 10 quid for Lidle's.

very disappointed in it. started well enough. I will give the brilliant photography a thumbs up though..

as alluded to though, you have to have almighty leaps of faith to connect the plot. those coincidences usually only happen in film plots where you need that leap to make the story fit.

didn't find it appalling at all really, passed some time, but for me, it asked too much and failed to deliver.

have watched worse series but also watched something far more engrossing.

if you haven't seen 1883, that's SO much better. better cast, better story line and delivers.

(prequel to Yellowstone iirc)

I thought it was top notch.

Look out for Rafe Spall's excellent performance in episode 4.

All episodes available on iPlayer, much better to binge watch them rather than wait a week between episodes on BBC2 IMO.
