If England don't win then I don't really care who does.
PS My grandson (10) says Brazil are going to win it, anyway.

As much as I hate to say it, I've got a horrible feeling about Portugal.
I could well see us performing the miracle against France only to meet our modern day nemesis in the semi's and get shithoused out of it again

To be fair, I've had a feeling about then from the very beginning. They have some very good players, most of whom, are well known to us all and they all gell perfectly into to one pretty exciting, well drilled unit

Re: If Not England Then Who?
Think a perfect scenario would be us beating Brazil in the final 3-2,with Dec Banging a 25 yarder in,in the 102 minute, with 13 mins

Did any of you know, we have our very own Kylian Mbappe? and his name is, yes, Kylian Mbappe and he is an avidThree Lions fan. Yes, that is right. Our Kylian Mbappe is a 16 year old from Leicester and he is the second cousin of the real one. While his second cousin earns £650k a month with PSG and he owns a £3m pad in Paris, our Kylian Mbappe lives in a 3 bed council semi in Leicester and while their Kylian Mbappe drives a £350k Ferrari, our one makes £6.50 an hour washing dishes in a local pub and has a £5 a day bus ticket. This a true story, an amazing one at that. It was on today's front page of 'The Sun, so it must be true

Ha, just looked it up. He was born in France but moved to Leicester soon after. “And if I’m honest, I’m more English than French now.
“I speak better English, I’ve lived here for longer, I love baked beans and Greggs.
“I’d pick a sausage roll over a croque monsieur any day.”
This is a bit like the story about Adolf Hitlers nephew who was born in Toxteth in 1911, then moved to Germany to work for Adolf but left in 1938 & ended up fighting for America against the Nazi's.
Almost identical tale.

Not a gambling person, but genuinely doubt that modern day France is likely to invade the Sudetenland.
If not England, then hopefully the Dutch.

Argentina. Would be a fitting way for Messi's career to be capped.
One thing amuses me though. There's a lot of "support" for Morocco on social media, much of it from people who have slated West Ham for their negativity. I do find that very ironic tbh. The Moroccan coach deserves a lot of credit for taking his side further than many countries with far bigger pools of talent to choose from. But, boy, are they a tough watch for the neutral.

I didn't think so against Portugal. Defended well with quick counter attacks.Kermit wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 10:41 am Argentina. Would be a fitting way for Messi's career to be capped.

Argentina. I would like to see Messi win the top prize with that prick Ronaldo knowing he will never equal that and also our once own Lionel Scaloni is the manager.

Hrvatska.
Pleasing on the eye.
A population of just 4,000,000.
Good luck to 'em.
