If Not England Then Who?
In 12 hours there'll be 16 teams left.
Who would you most like to win it other than England & why?
I want America to make the semis but not win it. Not yet. Not before England. The majority wouldn't appreciate it enough.
From the teams I've seen it would be Japan, and not just because of their fantastic pixelated porn. Any team that beats Germany & Spain but loses to Costa Rica (who shipped ELEVEN goals against the other two) deserves respect.

Senegal, ideally. If not, Portugal, just to make the "Penaldo" people on twitter deeply unhappy.

Anyone but the Yanks and Portugal.
Sorry but the USA winning the World Cup would be an international tragedy.

Argentina. Ideally with Messi going insane through the knockout stages and getting the 7/8 goals needed to take World Cup record off of Klose.

Like anybody else, should they win it, they bloody well deserve to, just like any other team, including England

The Dutch, I guess. They've been to three finals before now but never won. Their team at the moment isn't a touch on the teams they've had in the past, but they're capable. They deserve to be on the list of nations that has a World Cup win.
Brazil aren't as good as their reputation at the moment. The French are decent as a team but a lot of their play is all about Mbappe. Spain are full of talent but are a bit of an unpolished diamond. Portugal are quality all through but I don't think I could handle the Ronaldo love in if they won. Argentina aren't actually that good a team right now.
England need to get a trophy to have something to show for their recent good performances in tournaments. Waistcoat might have his tactical limitations but you can't deny he's got his England team working as a unit, for each other and for the nation.

Not for me... Football wise the French are the best and most entertaining I have seen so far, if not would be wonderful if an African team could win but I can't see it (never know though)

Re: If Not England Then Who?
I'd like Morocco and Japan to do well - and I think they both have a real chance of reaching the Qtr Finals. Spain are a great footballing side but they have that habit of over-playing and looking for that perfectly worked goal. I think they'll have difficult breaking down that Moroccan defence.
