For my dough - tournaments we were good enough to do better:

Maybe 20 & 02, as well, but those performances were closer to par. The rest, we got what we deserved.

Take Maradonna out of 86 and we were punching there in ridiculous heat.

Have a look at the chance Lineker somehow misse for 2-2
from Barnes cross against the Argies.

Well that was all rather relaxed once the first goal went in. The French it is. They’ll be favourites but I’d imagine they would prefer to be facing someone else at this stage.

Very good all round after a dodgy start.

Bellingham and Kane excellent. Rice again steady and didn't waste the ball once.

Kept a neutral's eye on our Deccy tonight and witnessed another strong performance. Sits much deeper with England with less of the galloping forward runs we see and I think it suits him. He was on to the Senegalese midfielders like a terrier, snapping and hassling them and stopping their forward play.

Bellingham will get the plaudits tonight, but Declan's tenacity and pressure was notable.
