Kirstie Alley, who featured as bar manager Rebecca Howe in Cheers and who also starred in, amongst many other things, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Meyer, 1982) and the Look Who's Talking franchise of movies, has died following a brief fight with cancer. She was 71.

71 - wow. One of those people you expected to be about 35 for ever. She’ll forever be the funny, sharp and sassy and yes, stunningly attractive woman in Cheers for me. Rest in peace Kirstie.

Used to fancy her when she joined Cheers. There was always 'something' about her.

Sad to see another star of stage and screen pass away.

More sad news

Absolutely loved Cheers back in the day and it’s currently on re-runs on C4 early morning, albeit the Shelley Long era at the moment.
A great comedy actress and she certainly had that certain something about her

RIP Kirstie Alley

Loved her.

Look Who's Talking was something I used to watch a lot when I was a kid.

Feel quite gutted.

This is like another link to my childhood gone. I loved Look Who's Talking growing up. They were great films.

Aye. Awful woman; the only sad thing about her death is that it came after all of the damage she did. f*** her and her cult.
