Walker had him sorted all game.

You’d have to wonder was his reputation leveraged as a sort of decoy. Far less influential than Greizmann who was the best player on the park.

I think people see a fast striker and lose their **** these days. The lack of attention to Griezmann from a lot of the media was very strange.

Club form undoubtedly factors into it. With such a focus on the ECL etc, M’Bappe is constantly in our eyeline with PSG while Greizmann has fallen away a bit at club level. He’s still a top class international and he controlled the game.

A good man I met from this website described Mbappe earlier on in the tournament as a 'turtle faced ****'.

I still laugh about it every now and then. He really does have a turtle face doesn't he.

Meh disappointing....but ah well never mind!!

Thought the subs were too late and for all the talk of our attacking options it felt a bit more like giving a run out to people who'd played less rather than those who actually had a chance of doing something in the game.

Pretty much despise Grealish but bringing on Mason Mount instead of him was one of the oddest things I've ever seen in a log while.

A coincidence that he has been linked with a move to PSG then?
Wouldn't it have been more classy and selfless to Tweet the French captain, or one of the defenders he faced?

We ve got a creative Mf he's not as good as Modric or even KDB but he's the best we have got. He's name is Jack Grealish you will have to the manager why he uses Henderson, Mount basically anybody but Grealish

Grealish plays left wing and has his whole career, this nonsense that Foden or Grealish plays as a ten has wound me up no end last few weeks, they don't play there, they are not the answer

I wasn't, and still aren't upset by it at all.
I would rather we won the Conference than England win the world cup.

Grealish himself has stated he prefers to play CAM. If you can't see that Grealish and to a lesser extent Foden could play 10 then either you are blind or lack imagination probably both

Grealish played as a CAM in the Championship as soon as they got promoted, got moved to the left wing, he won't cut it as a CAM, he is far too slow on the ball, slows the game down, too ponderous, falls over too much, at the top level nor in international football, why you think putting him there would work is bonkers.

We've got the entire country to choose from and you want to pigeon hole two out and out left wingers into a position they never play there, superb logic that!

Grealish at CAM would be horrendous, Foden to a lesser extent as he is a far better footballer but neither play there.

Maddison by miles is the obvious choice there and to a lesser extent Mount

It didn't take Simon Jordan long to add his tuppence 'appeney's worth. I note he has waded into Gareth Southgate and his under-performing England stars, accusing fans' the players, our press, manager and just bout everybody else for accepting mediocrity and of being perennial loser's. He's calling a very different tune, of why are we doing this, we lost, describing him as a great media facing manager, never making anybody feel uncomfortable, even a vanilla character and calls for a stronger character to replace him an ugly winner if you like. Is he right ? or is he tosser?

Henderson was pressing high and was one of our better players on the pitch so Mount as the most like for like sub made sense to try and keep the shape and pressing which was working.

I just don’t see Grealish in the middle working either. He got shifted to the left by Villa to give him more space (even though he lacks pace). If we wanted a central more attacking option then Maddison was the sub to make.

Being greedy, I would like to have won both.

On the point of being upset, like you, I wasn't really. I've just got to an age now where it's just less painful. I think my gripe these days is:- Will there ever be a point when we are the better team and actually win the game or tournament?

There always seems to be something that p**ses on our chips.
