From the heat of the desert to the freezing cold of Manchester

Post by Puff Daddy »

The life of a professional footballer. That is Man City stalwart, Kevin De Bruyne, it must have seemed ike a huge shock to the system, to report back for training after that, but this is how it was for him today at City's training ground complex performing exercises on a frozen pitch dressed in gloves and bobble hat. Next week, it will all of the Premier League stars too

At least he's coming back to a title fight to play with great players and the next round of the Champions League.

Imagine coming back from playing with Neymar and Vinicius to the freezing cold and playing with Craig Dawson in a relegation battle for a club that plays in the soulless athletics stadium attached to a shopping centre.

It's tough, but if Lucas wants to make a success of life in the Premier League, he's going to have to get used to that kind of step up in quality.

Less of a problem for de Bruyne I'd have thought given he never even showed up in Qatar.
