I've not played any 'new' games this year.

However, the Medieval 2 Total War port for android/Playstore (which did come out this year I believe), has been amazing since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago.

Been a strange year for games as nothing immediately comes to mind as the best game. There have been a lot of 'good' games but nothing outstanding.

So my picks would be Plague Tale: Requiem, just because it is the most stunning game I've ever played, a real experience even if the mechanics don't always allow room for a lot of fun.

Also High on Life, just because it has been a breath of fresh air in that it isn't afraid to just be a game. The critics were not keen on it but overall it's probably the most actual fun I've had with a game this year.

Then Tinkykin, Stray, Pentiment.

I've finally got round to Vampire Survivors.

Hypnotically addictive and quite tactical for what is such a simple premise.

I found that it struggled :crossed:

I'm running with an i7 10750, GeForce 1660 and it chugged away and threatened to melt the keyboard (it's a gaming laptop, unfortunately. The wife at the time told me that I could only get a new PC if it was a laptop as she could also use it and lug it around. In 3 years she hasn't so much as touched it, but I digress...)

Thankfully I have the Xbox Series X and, apparently with my tv it runs at 40 fps which looked fantastic so that's where I played 100% of the time.

Forgot that came out this year. I would like to add it to my list. I've given up a ridiculous amount of hours to this. Compulsive.
