with regards to mubama I think he could have given him 30 mins in a warm up friendly.
yes bowen can play up top but if scamacca and antonio are out we have no one else. be good to give the kid a chance.
hopefully everyone is fit for next week`s battle.
no need for diop to tackle like that and to be fair unlike him.
good to see dec back watching from the stands. wonder what he is thinking ?

So your answer to my question would be that you would start Mubama up front vs Arsenal rather than Bowen?
Mubamba looked far off first team level against a bunch of farmers in Bucharest. There is not a hope in hell he will play against Arsenal and rightly so.

I agree. There’s a world of difference between 1st place in England and mid table in Romania.
Don’t get me wrong, he did as well he could in that game but he will be introduced gradually, and only if he’s up to the standard of our league.
It seems to me that around 1/50 youth players go on to make a proper career of it at this level, it’s highly likely he won’t be good enough. Time will tell.
It was just a run out for fitness and confidence building (so great for Bowen, not so much for Scamacca). Playing different tactically and or using the kids more is just not relevant.
The tactical work will (and hopefully is) being done off the pitch. Why tip Arsenal's hand?
As for the kids, if they are good enough to be part of the squad then they'd be playing already. Minutes against Fulham in a friendly won't change any minds on the coaching staff.
The perfect storm of the things fans put too much stock in; friendlies and youth players!
