A brilliant game of football that.

What would happen if a goalkeeper got sent off in a penalty shoot out? Martinez got a yellow in the shootout. He could have got another for doing his mind games? Can you make a sub in a shoot out?

Drew with the Dutch and France. Just goes to show you can win a tournament without beating anyone that good - there’s hope for England yet.

To be fair Croatia are a good side and they did beat the Dutch albeit on pens. My first reaction was that France ' only ' beat Poland, England and Morocco to get there but then Morocco beat Spain and Portugal. I know where you're coming from but it can't be worse than 1982 when England didn't lose, conceded once but went home !!! Wtf ?!

Sir Geoff's final hat trick still stands as the greatest.

Or when Scotland somehow went undefeated in a group including Brazil, had equal top points in the group and still got sent home after the first round in 1974!

Brilliant game of football. Both teams going hell for leather in extra time

I would rather Frwnce won but football was the winner

Shithousery has always been part of the world cup. Having South American teams act like South Americans is what makes the world cup what it is.

It would be rubbish if everyone played fair

France will be the country to beat fie the next decade. Have such strength in depth

Think it's called an Abaya. Sheikh Rattlnroll put it on him so he couldn't really say no. Think he'd rather not have covered his shirt though

The game was lost as soon as it went to pens.

Lloris looked like Peter Shilton in Turin in 1990. The French would have had more chance if they'd subbed on Areola....like England should have bought on Dave Beasant 32 years ago
