That should be a penalty to England, tackler did not release the tackled player.
Not that it matters much, and the initial defence once again was diabolical

Commentators talking b*llocks again.
"Such difference in size and power of these French forwards "
Um, in your caption at the start of the game England's pack was 5kg heavier, which would suggest otherwise.

A rules question. When is a maul in touch? Is it when any player bound in the maul is in touch, does the ball itself or the player carrying it have to be in touch? What if the ball can't be seen?

Mitchell's even slower than Van Poortvliet at the back of the ruck.

I think the player in possession of the ball has to step on or over the lineJohnny Byrne's Boots wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 6:13 pm A rules question. When is a maul in touch? Re: England Rugby/Six nations 2023
Just shows what I've thought for quite a while... All the stuff we've been rubbish at for a long time has come home to roost... Defensively poor....no pace, no creativity, lack of smarts, robotic, ill discipline
But what do you do? Can’t really bin the coach and these probably are the best players available

He needs time to develop this England side, you can forget about the forthcoming World Cup

They are very, very good.
They have handed England their a**eholes on a plate tonight. As it stands France are my bet for The World Cup.

Re: England Rugby/Six nations 2023
Develop what exactly?
The tactics haven't changed, largely neither have the players.
Same **** different coach, but then he was Jones's assistant in Japan.
That was England's heaviest ever defeat in 113 years at Twickenham.

Re: England Rugby/Six nations 2023
Yeah. England were showing shoots of improvement in the last couple of games, albeit against Wales and Italy. I thought we’d be competitive tonight at least, I didn’t see 50+ points coming.
