Treat the Ashes as just another bilateral series and there you go, angst removed.

Well that's the issue really, for all of Bendy's logic and rationale, the simple fact is that the way things were going (and still might be, though at least now, IMO, there is a chance of a different outcome) within a year or two the only test cricket would have been the Ashes, as everything else would be uneconomic. In that respect it IS up to us to sort out other nations problems if we want test cricket to survive.
One thing I think we can agree on, this Ashes series is make or break for 'Bazball'. Personally, in English conditions I think we have better players than the Convicts........ can't wait.

Malan reminds me of Michael Bevan. He times a run chase so well - only ever taking risks when needed.

Chasing down 210 runs, of which Malan got over 100 of them, having lost lost seven wickets isnt a good look for the rest of the team.

Adil Rashid isn't coming across too well in his interview. Seem to be some inconsistencies in his memory regarding Vaughan

28 wickets have fallen to spin in two days in India. How are they allowed to keep getting away with this?

Blew up in their faces though as the ever "lovable" Nathan Lyon took 8 for 64.

Agreed. Although the barrister didn't come out of it smelling of roses given that he referred to Rashid as Rafiq during questioning.

What a mess!

Second ODI this morning. Roy’s turn to hold it together good innings currently (on 74). These wickets look hard to get started on, 220 or so might be enough here.

Almost run a ball 100 for Roy, good knock from him. Held this innings together today (as Malan did the other) Buttler looking dangerous though and ready to push on.

Buttler's cover drive is Goweresque (if mirrored, as it were!)
it's just effortless.

Who cares about gammon Vaughan, Rashid should be concentrating on playing cricket in Bangladesh not having to give video evidence.

Bang have been bowling some garbage but just got Roy with a good ball, good stuff from him btw.

Buttler was lucky to survive a DRS review off the boot earlier, saved by umpires call.

What a bizarre post. You don't care about legal process and people's entire future being decided by an allegation?

Gammon? Strange.

Oh come on Bendy, he made some really sketchy comments on Twitter didn’t he, if you search for it it’s there. Openly supported Trump, said London was like a “different county” etc etc. Also said something linking Muslims and terrorists. I have respect for what he did in the game, but he cut a very waspy / controversial type figure when he took up commentating. Laying into players and even had a pop at Bairstow just before he went on that amazing run of form, which Bairstow retorted.

Should of known better really when posting that earlier though as I know posters on here hold him in good regard.
