Just tried that Guinness 0. Very decent.

Went to a gig last night. Not drinking at a gig was a very odd experience.

Now cooking a steak. Without drinking. This also feels very odd.

I just made a massive sausage and bacon sammo with a fresh poppy seeded baguette from Sainsbury's. Which was heavily buttered. Good dollop of brown over the top and washed down with a couple of bottles of real ale.

Unhealthy? Yes. But we won today and that deserves a treat.

Got ID’d buying boozeless Guinness and Nozecco in Sainsbury’s earlier. WTF.

Anyway, 20 days now. Went back to my old project yesterday, and f*** me the endless negativity from all and sundry had me almost ready to rim the tramp outside the offy in exchange for a beer. Luckily none of my regular drinking companions were there or I might have broken.

I’m into the home stretch. One more weekend.

For the life of me I can't imagine what would be worth rimming a tramp for? And now I can't look at my cooked breakfast the same way, especially the black pudding.

I've had a few cravings, non moreso than when the missus plonked a fancy bottle next to me last night when I was cooking.
Red screw cap & colourful label had me thinking it was my fave Rioja but no, just another overpriced half litre of olive oil.

Well done everyone! (Except Shabs 😂, sort it out, mate!)

Wife's birthday yesterday and we still didn't crack. We had an Indian takeaway and Guinness 0.0 Nosecco combo but we did think it was bloody difficult. Week nights far easier.

Not both drinks in same glass I add.

Day 14 of sobriety.

been easy tbh. I think the fear of getting out of control has something to do with it, but I don't fancy a drink and haven't craved one. That said, I've been living like a monk, with zero socialising, no pubs, very little eating out etc . Save a fortune mind!

I'm going for a month atm, maybe less maybe longer - I dunno. ATM I know I don't even fancy a drink, so I'm happy with that.

I'm a bit pissed off that I've not seen any health related benefits. Not lost any weight, I've trained 3 times a week but my hnger pains have been off the rails. I'm trying not to eat **** but the constant cravings are a b*stard. I don't feel any better apart from being clear headead and focused when i get up.

14 units is the recommend limit? I always thought it was over 20? God, even on a quiet week, I’m well over 14…

I was going to go out to wind down the weekend but I had a skinful yesterday so I think I’ll stay in.

I think that used to be the case; 14 for women and 20 odd for men.

Yes 14 and it supposed to be consumed in at least 3 sessions . Basically 2 pints of normal beer a week , three times is the limit.

Alcohol is my one last true vice. I don’t smoke, take drugs, eat meat and try to walk almost everywhere.

I had a major health scare last year but beer is the one thing I wouldn’t want to give up. I like my nights out too much.

You'd have to consider it wouldn't you?

I wonder if the tramp outside the offie gets a say in it?

Well, one week left to go.
Found this very easy, to be honest. I've lost 10lbs so far this month.
First drink will be in my local on my walk home from work next Thursday the 2nd February.

IIRC, last time I did Dry January, the first time I drank anything I was massively hungover (compared to normal) the following day.
Friday at work next week could be amusing.

Yes from what I can gather I've lost about half a stone.

Even Mrs Sendo gave me a "you look less bloated" compliment.

Having a weekend away and drinking. The next weekend away is in a fortnight. I'm already looking at the 11 days off drinking anything in between.

I'm enjoying not having any at home.

I would encourage people to let their hair down every now and again as it does you the world of good.

We had karaoke on last night and it was standing room only by 9pm. Everyone in good spirits too.
