The Zulu King Jah Shaka.
We were blessed to have him perform for us when I was running The Royal Hotel in Southend,
I have seen him many times over the years at various venues.
The man was like the messiah to the dub community. Sad times.
Mark Stewart of the Pop Group. A total one off. When I first heard him, I thought "one day all music will sound like this" and we still haven't caught up.
That's a shame. Dame Edna and Sir Les were both as funny as f***. And my son (when he was a wee'un), my daughter and I loved him as Bruce the Great White shark in Finding Nemo (Stanton, 2003), too.
Remember him first in Private Eye as Barry McKenzie, then saw him in late 70s. Came out laughing and still laughing now. Sir Les was grotesque and hilarious. So sorry to hear this, he was indeed a megastar.

I loved the Pop Group and I was standing next to him just beofre he got on stage and played with Wobble, Youth et al performing " A very British Coup."
