Anyone else interested?
I’m pretty excited as I loved this game on the N64, not so much the recent remake.
Do you think it’ll be some nostalgia or will it be hopelessly outdated now?

Re: Goldeneye
Played it already. Isn’t a rebuild or anything, sadly, but seems to run pretty smoothly.

Re: Goldeneye
Walking around a corner looking for your mate on Golden gun mode, only to bump into him, **** yourself, and scramble to see who could get their shot off quickest.
Good times. What a game.

Re: Goldeneye
30fps? Jeez couldn't they have tarted it up a bit more? Feels like it's running in an emulator, and not a very good one.

Re: Goldeneye
Played a bit before work.
It’s just like the original with dodgy graphics as well.
Can’t wait to play more and try to get all the unlocks again.
The aiming is still woeful though.

Re: Goldeneye
So the Xbox version is slightly updated, doesn't have online and is only available with Gamepass or if you have Rare Replay digital version only (my retail disc is apparently not good enough). The Switch version has online mutiplayer but is just a straight N64 port, has terrible controls and is only available with Nintendo's online subscription. Neither are as good as the leaked Xbox Live Arcade version that was made back around 2008.
Brilliant.
Brilliant.

Nintendo have really struggled with or been very lazy with N64 games.dasnutnock3 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:18 pm 30fps? Jeez couldn't they have tarted it up a bit more? Feels like it's running in an emulator, and not a very good one.
They should have remade it.

Re: Goldeneye
My brother had this on his N64 when we were kids. There were four of us, two brothers and two sisters.
We had great 4 player sessions on the big old school TV but my brother was so good he could see where everyone was on the split screen and just take you out in an instant.
So we made a big cardboard cross that slid over the TV and dived it into 4 single screens. Two smallest lying on the floor and the two oldest sitting on the coffee table, it was brilliant. great times.
