Considering Newcastle have the most draws in the League with 10, it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise the game finished a draw yesterday. Them and Brentford are this year's draw specialists.

Yep....I remember the article the BBC produced all about EF, and not a single bit about us.

Nearly, yes, but they don't boost the old g/d quite so much.

My point, though, is that 50% win rate guaranteed us 6th, not CL.

I think they might live to rue the fact that they didn't add another striker in the recent window. Aguerd's tackle was sublime, but, even against us, I didn't get the impression that Handy Callum would get a brace.

A very well deserved point, we matched them for 85 minutes of the 90 - our failure to start games cost us all three points as after Wilson scored they only really crafted one chance which Aguerd expertly managed to cut out.

I assume Kehrer was injured and that's why he came off? Shane as that was his best 45 minutes for us, his passing was perfect and I don't think a single one went awry, he covered Coufal brilliantly, and looked sharp for the whole half. I think when Johnson came on we really lost something as Coufal kept a slightly deeper position and Johnson wasn't pushing up as well.

Point probably fair in the end given our sleepy start, and at this stage given their position and ours we should be very happy with that as a day's work.

Couldn't help but notice the commentators fanning over them all game and thinking the same thing. They're probably in the Saudi's pockets now too.

The Newcastle media love in, is undoubtedly more to do with Eddie Howe than anything else, his Bournemouth side got the same treatment.

Whatever...

We are nealy at the stage now that the well-earned point after a good performance from our boys gets labelled as a given.

But hey ho.

Those 10 games would garner 7 losses with those 3 wins so the GD would probably be worse.

It's vile, but expected. I actually think it's more to do with the fact they've got money now so Sky are on them like a dog on hot chips.

Check Moyes pre match conference, now I appreciate he's gonna get asked about the opposition but the beggy nature of trying to get him to tug off Newcastle and Howe is actually sickly, especially from that thick fella at Sky whose name escapes me.

But that's modern football now isn't it, you've got a pound note in your back pocket then you've got the media too

Two schools of thought

1 their player headed it
2 rice (corner taker) got the assist

Both situations can't be offside

Think you’re right Mumbles thinking about it. Ball came off their player which is why Rice (according to LiveScore) didn’t get the assist.

it would have been checked anyway
all goals are checked

they would have seen that the corner was nodded on by Joelinton (I think) so, as you say, not offside and i don't even think he is in an offside position as probably lots of players standing on the goal line
