I’d love to see Carrick try to get our players do that, who already can’t pass the ball for sh*t, and against a higher standard of teams in the Premier League.
If he could pull that off here with the squad of players he’ll have, I’ll be very impressed.

Nice.
If we scored that goal people would be pointing out the lack of pressure on the ball from the opposition.

We will still be be talking about Will Still in a year. Will Still will still be in France and we will still be mentioning Will Still's tenuous link to Football Manager and West Ham. Still, it will be good if he came to West Ham

Find the 'admits to' quite funny here, like it's a disgusting crime.

Was just thinking that in the Premier League, it either gets turned over when the keeper plays the short pass or more likely the keeper is forced to launch it long.funky chicken wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:30 am I’d love to see Carrick try to get our players do that, who already can’t pass the ball for sh*t, and against a higher standard of teams in the Premier League.

Imo, the weird thing is how their forwards try an aggressive high press, but the rest of the team sits back in their own 30 yards. Once, the keeper manages to pass it behind the opponent, they have almost 50 yards free, and the defence goes always late from that moment on.

In our case, play would get turned over the moment Soucek becomes is involved in the moveMisko wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 12:37 pm Imo, the weird thing is how their forwards try an aggressive high press, but the rest of the team sits back in their own 30 yards. Re: Will Still (WHU Related)
That's what I thought when I watched it - was a dangerous pass to the defender to start the move off that could have easily led to a far worse outcome. Luckily they got away with it.

Re: Will Still (WHU Related)
It's why I'm a big fan of Carricks style and philosophy on the pitch. He believes in keeping the ball and making the most of it when his Teams do win back possession. Below is highlights of his very 1st game in charge managing Man Utd after Solsjkaer struggled to get them playing. Watch from 3:00 onwards and especially the Shearer style goal from Euro 96 against Holland near the end for a fabulous pass and move goal...
