West Ham win, Chelsea all over the shop, Potter sacked, supporters chanting Moyes name once more. Just gutted it’s a 12.30 KO tbh.

Only change maybe Formals for Benni but probably keep it as it was against Newcastle.
As for Leeds Forest hopefully a draw and keep them both in striking distance

Re: West Ham United v Chelsea : match thread
Assuming Zouma, Cornet and Scamacca are still out, plus Areola, Kehrer and Bowen are okay….
————————————-Fabianski—————————————
-Coufal——-Johnson-Ogbonna-Aguerd——-Emerson-
——————————-Rice———-Paqueta—————————
-Bowen———————-Antonio—————-———Fornals-
Subs: Areola, Kehrer, Cresswell, Soucek, Downes, Lanzini, Benrahma, Ings, Mubama.
It was a really tough decision to make whether to go for Kehrer and Johnson. The only reason Johnson got the nod from me is because I just think we’ll need someone who is better sitting deeper, while Kehrer is more well suited if you play a higher line.
Fornals for Benrahma, as if I have to see another performance from Benrahma as frustrating as the one last night, I won’t have any hair left! Shame Cornet isn’t ready yet, as I think this sort of game may have suited him.
Ings will hopefully get more minutes off the bench as he builds up his fitness after his injury.
I have a feeling at least one of Zouma or Scamacca will make a surprise return. My money being more on the latter.
Chelsea have been a lot better defensively in recent weeks. Three consecutive clean sheets since their 2-1 loss at Craven Cottage.
I fancy a battling 2-1 win for the b*stards in claret and blue. Bowen with one. And Ings to get his first for the club.

Forest I think. Leeds have enough quality to stay up comfortably imo.Lord Zoltan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 8:04 am Same starting 11 as v Newcastle please

I’m not sure how Forest integrate all these players. The way they’ve gone about their transfer business is very similar to that of QPR in the early 2010s

Re: West Ham United v Chelsea : match thread
Agree with starting the same 11 we started against Newcastle. I haven’t changed my position of wanting Areola to start over Fabianski but I’m flogging a dead horse on that one as Moyes clearly prefers Fab so the same team is fine.Lord Zoltan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 8:04 am Same starting 11 as v Newcastle please

Re: West Ham United v Chelsea : match thread
Hopefully we'll get justice for the horrific decision to disallow a perfectly good goal at their place.
Praying their moneyball philosophy will backfire.
2-1 to us.

Just when I think he'll make the change, Areola ends up injured.dodger wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 10:33 am Agree with starting the same 11 we started against Newcastle. I think we could benefit from direct running from Bowen and Antonio. With Benrahma and Scamacca to come on later. Would get Ings starting.

Re: West Ham United v Chelsea : match thread
That's the exact team I was about to post. There's so much debate about Fornals vs Benrahma... I'd like to experiment with neither. I'd like to see Ings drop deeper during build up play, and Bowen and Antonio ready to make runs ahead, working the channels like Sakho and Valencia used to do during my favourite spell of the Allardyce era. I think that's how Scamacca should be used too. Forget traditional wingers. Forget target men.il_martello_di_genovesi wrote: ↑Sun Feb 05, 2023 12:25 pm ———————-——Fabianski—————

So during build up, it almost becomes like....
Coufal———-Rice——Paqueta——-Emerson
-------------------Ings (or Scamacca)
————Bowen———----Antonio
