Aside from the inevitable tension that comes with our situation, the football itself is a tedious watch and its not solely down to the lack of attacking play.

Its a lack of aggression, something to get the crowd up, especially at home. A robust challenge, players squaring up, some needle. It was a derby yesterday but we played like we had a cup final in a few days time.

In contrast, you'd have thought Perisic was on the losing team when he came on.

It speaks volumes that we are at the top of the fairplay league but near the bottom of the premier league. We are too nice and too naive for the style we are trying to play.

Can you still get into Europe via the fair play league - perhaps that is the plan....

If so, would it be EL or ECL...?

You hit the target and the keeper saves it that is one thing to miss the target is just not good enough when you have the chance. That is why we are where we are this season. We've been doing it all season and then concede goals like we did yesterday.
If we are talking about the same chance (the first one here five seconds into the video) he didn't control it, he hit it first time:

——————————Downes

Coufal—————Rice——Soucek———Emerson

——————Bowen—————Antonio
I slaughtered this team choice days before the game, saying it was the most defensive selection I’d seen posted on here in all my years on this site. I’ve defended Moyes, and various other managers like Roeder, Macari etc but after that selection enough is enough. To say we need to start winning games before the game and then pick that is a disgrace. And then after the game saying we need goals from Ings and given him 20 minutes a game shows me he’s lost the plot.

God I can't stand those smug grinning bottle job Spursy ****ers from Middlesex. Fancy sneaking a tiny badge on someone's clothing and thinking you really did something there.

I thinks it's worthy of a nod in appreciation tbh. He's been done like a kipper, and I'd defy anyone to not think it was funny if we'd managed to get a crossed hammers badge on to one of their club legends.

Fair play to them - a begrudging admiration for whomever managed to do it.

I still don't whether to laugh or cry at the fact that Spurs bought on their 34 year old left winger who then proceeded to kick lumps out of us in the last 10 minutes.

Is this the first 'normal' match thread to nearly reach 100 pages?

If the reception I got last night from the Sp*rs loving village idiot who runs one of the pubs here is anything to go by, I wouldn't want to be looking at the opposition view this week. :(
