Same and I am one of Moyes’ biggest supporters on here.
There’s just something about him that screams always the bridesmaid and never the bride. I can’t quite get my head around it as to why I feel this way, but he just gives me that vibe he’ll always come up short.
It’s not because he has literally never won either of the major trophies, unless you include the Charity shield, as every manager has to start from somewhere. Redknapp won his first major trophy in 2008 aged around 62. Sarri at Chelsea. Rodgers at Leicester, in terms of managing English clubs. Even Steve McClaren won the Carabao cup at Middlesbrough! But I hope he proves me wrong as not only is it about time the club wins something but I think Moyes himself also deserves a trophy after all the hard work and years he’s spent in management.
To be fair, it’s not just Moyes I have my doubts. It’s the player’s attitude, character and mentality also. I don’t trust some of them to work hard enough, or to not make f*ck ups.
Now, as you started this thread and we won the game, please for f*ck sake start the Aston Villa match thread!
