Their best tune..18 March - The Undertones
I find myself listening to those loveable scally mop tops, and whilst Ringo would go onto far greater things as the voice of Thomas The Tank Engine....I'm listening to "The Beatles No.1 EP" and am inclined to say that 'I Saw Her Standing There' is their best ever song by some distance.
A genuine rock'n'roll tune. Their best number ever?
-----
13 March: The Beatles
14 March: David Bowie
15 March: Blondie
16 March: "the folk down under"
17 March: "north of the border"
18 March: The Undertones

I'm torn between Any Time At All and Don't Let Me Down, but I think I'll go for the latter as it's always stood out to me.

‘I’m So Tired’ from the White album for me followed by either ‘Baby You’re a Rich Man’ or the fast version of ‘Revolution’.

Never really took to them, although I came to appreciate a few of their numbers a little more when I munched through Rolling Stone magazine's Top 500 albums. Still, my favourite Beatles track has always been, by some margin, Helter Skelter.

Re: Their best tune..13 March - The Beatles
I was 10 years old when The Beatles landed and I loved it.
Some fantastic tunes. They got better as I got older, if that makes sense.
I Am The Walrus
I Want You(She's So Heavy)
A Day In The Life

I recommend watching these 5 documentaries

The Beatles - Eight Days a Week- The Touring Years
McCartney - 3,2,1
Beatles - How The Beatles Changed The World
Howard Goodall - 20th Century Greats , The Beatles

It's probably Don't Let Me Down.
I knew someone once whose favourite was Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Hearing that will really impact your opinion of a person

The greatest pop single of all time. Track 1 side 1 on their debut album. It encapsulates every single thing about rock and roll.
It has without a doubt the greatest opening line.
Well she was just 17, you know what I mean....

I prefer their output from '65 to '70. Couldn't begin to pick one song out.

Isn't Rock and roll supposed to be a little bit dirty?Korea Hammer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 5:35 pm Well each to their own. I find that line creepy, personally.
Elvis shaking his hips and all that.
Lets be honest a line that went
Well she was roughly 23, a registered BUMBLE bee, and she made the first move to ensure she didn't feel in anyway sexually intimidated, and I promised to respect her and not try anything on until she had sent me an e-mail granting permission
would be not altogether catchy
