Re: Their best tune..15 March - Blondie
I only know a few Blondie singles. I like them, but not really enough to choose a favourite.

Surprised no one's gone for Hanging on the Telephone yet (even though it's a cover). Tempted to change my vote in light of several of us going for Heart of Glass. Either way: Cracking band with a hatful of tunes that still easily hold up over forty years later.

Re: Their best tune..15 March - Blondie
For years it was 'The Tide Is High' and even remember a phase in Primary school when I loved 'Union City Blue'.
But having watched their videos on the 70's channel over the last few years I've become fonder of 'Picture This' and '(I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence Dear'.

Re: Their best tune..16 March - The Folk Down Under
What's the best tune ever from any band or singer who came from down under?
Kylie? Crowded House? Men At Work? Rolf Harris? Dame Edna?

AC/DC surely
And in that case it’s a tough call, but Shot Down In Flames

(I'm counting them as convicts for the purposes of this exercise. They emigrated when Barry was 12)
If pressed for a favourite among those I'd go with the Nick Cave tune.

My actual favourite band from Aus is The Paper Kites. Big fan of The Jezabels as well.

Re: Their best tune..16 March - The Folk Down Under
Never really think of Nick Cave as an Fair-Dinkum Aussie performer, much too pale and sick looking, otherwise he's got a dozen tracks that would be my choice. But this beauty is from an Aussie pub band that hit the (very) big time for a while...

Not sure why their keyboardist is wearing the confederate beauregard battle flag, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
