Surely no one can moan about that . Just shows the group we won wasn't anything like as bad as a lot of us made out after Anderlecht knocking out Villarreal in Spain showed .

UCL last eight: West Ham; AZ Alkmaar; Gent; Anderlecht; Lech Poznan; Basel; Fiorentina; Nice.
I know we'll **** it up. But we've got a great chance. I'm no expert on other European teams, are Fiorentina and Nice the two best out of those?

This season...10 European games, 10 wins. Can't ask for more.
Excited to see the QF and SF draw tomorrow.

Who do we want next? I think AZ look like the team to avoid.

Re: West Ham United v AEK Larnaca : Match Thread
After other results tonight, we can go all the way.
We just need to sort out PL form out, try and break free of the bottom lot, then give our all to the end of the season for ECL.
Imagine winning a European Trophy?

We are gifted a golden chance at a trophy again.
This time we have premier league on the line but in the cup we play without total shackles.
Again will be disappointing if we don’t make the final.
We may never have a better opportunity for many a year.

Nice are better than their league position suggests. Top of the league over the last 10 games since changing their manager.

We've got history to make here. No team has ever won a European trophy and been relegated.I am Legend wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:19 pm After other results tonight, we can go all the way.

Tank the league. Win the ECL.

How is Divin pronounced? I heard one commentator call him Divine and tonight calling him Div (as in division) in
I'm hoping it's not divin(g)
I'm not waiting for Moyse to mention hims name in a presser and call him Derek

a 4-0 win.A run for a few of the youngsters and a goal for Mubama.Vilarrael and Lazio out.
A decent night.Bet on 5-0,so wanted another goal.
We have never had a better chance to lift a trophy.Just hope Moyes uses this to his advantage.

Perfect! (Maybe not, but still!)
Good team out, spared some and got other well deserved/important minutes. Including these lovely young ones. Let’s be happy until 2d of April. And beyond that also please!

It's looking like Mubama coming through is why we let Perkins go.Danny's Dyer Acting wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 9:44 pm Ignore the goal (and the own goal in his other appearance). He's shown more at 18 than any of the academy forwards people have clamoured to see over the last few years. Very exciting.
Hope Sonny Perkins is sitting at home wondering what might have been tonight.
First academy striker in years that I think might actually make it.
Fair play Divin, keep it up lad...

Re: West Ham United v AEK Larnaca : Match Thread
The stars aligned tonight.......
A VERY, VERY comfortable win and two big teams out. What's not to like. The other thing I "like" is the Cole collective:
Now I know most, if not all of the pundits in TV are very biased to their chosen clubs and the CC are no different. What gives them the edge in my mind is they never seem to gloat or rip the p**s out of the opposition (Roy Keane, take note), but all the time, it's "We, us, we're". They just come across as knowledgeable and proper West Ham fans.
A breath of fresh air, to be honest.

Fiorentina have been erratic this season. Got some quality in there but they’ll click one week then look like strangers the next.
