Made the last 32 of the UKs this season and has already seen off Graeme Dott, Joe Perry and Judd Trump on his way to a last 16 tie with Pang Junxu in this week's WST Classic.

All at the sprightly age of 60. Apparently he's the first player in his 60s to reach the last 16 of a ranking event since Eddie Charlton in 1992.

You could say a trifle unfortunate to play in an era with Davis and Hendry. Two of the greatest.

A quick Google search says he's worth 10 million or so. Hopefully true.

Love Jimmy White. Haven't watched snooker in years & miss playing it but he was one of my favourites as a kid.

Watching Jimmy in the late 80's and early 90's was the reason I picked up a Cue.
Having met him a few times, he is a sound bloke. Mad as a box of Frogs, mind you.

Definitely unfortunate to be at his peak during the respective reigns of the two most ruthless winning machines the sport has seen. Can’t help wondering if he’d kept off the booze & the chalk he might have won one of his 6 finals, but we’ll never know.

I remember when him and Higgins were playing together in doubles in the Moschoni (sp?) Cup. There was a barman making drinks for the players (it really was a different time), White ordered a pint of Bailey’s. After they’d whipped the Americans they were playing against they were interviewed on Sky, both of them were absolutely **** faced.
