If he had two years or more on his contract, of course keeping him would be the right option but his contract runs out in 12 months and he wants to play at the highest level. The sensible option is to sell him to the highest bidder and wish him well upon his way. And let's be honest, if a player wants to win things at the highest level, spending an entire career at West Ham isn't going to cut the mustard. Sorry for the reality check, but that's how it is.

I have always believed we had the players. I wasn't sure Moyes was playing them right. But suddenly they are. This bodes well.

Indeed as we had two seasons over performing this season we have very much underperformed, a tired small squad plus two many unproven Prem players coming in was always a serious problem to solve esp in a WC season like this but there’s more to it and I damn well hope someone in the club understands what it is. Doubts about that is my biggest worry based on past experience. But one lives in hope.

I can tell you who I don't want .....Pep Guardiola , Jurgen Klopp ....I don't want Thomas Frank either .

Unai Emery would have been good but after his stint at Arsenal I wouldn't have taken a chance on him , I would now of course .

Brian Clough built his teams from the back - great Goalkeeper , two excellent Centre Backs and solid full backs .

We're going to need a new Goalkeeper and a new Right Back .

I like Benrahma but he''s not our answer on the left and if Scamacca isn't working then we're going to need a new Striker .

I'd like a more attack-minded David Moyes - for a safety-first Manager we didn't half score some goals in his first 2 seasons in charge .

I'm happy to give him another season .
