^^^ he’s certainly playing well, as is Mark Allen.

Disappointed to see Mark Williams go out and the one I would like to see go on and win is Kyren Wilson.
To be honest I don’t mind who wins as long as it’s not Selby, who just drains the enjoyment out of watching snooker, or Ronnie, yes he’s probably the greatest ever player but has an attitude that stinks.

Edit
Higgins whitewashed Wilson 8-0 in their first session, don’t think it’s gonna be Wilson’s year.
Unless of course, Higgins has got a correct score bet on this match

Lining up to be four fascinating quaters.

Still all set up for an O'Sullivan/Selby final though, for me. Unless wily old Higgins can continue to roll back the years.

Some very one sided 2nd round matches, which is unusual

The championship needs a real thriller to get it going. The best match was Joe Perry and Robert Milkins in round 1

Can see it being a Ronnie v Mark Allen final which would be a cracker

It is great to see how Mark Allen has turned his life around and he has been good in the commentary box as well

Higgins has hit the ground running against Selby. Early doors still, but 4-1 up already and the wily Wishaw Wizard is looking good.

It looks like Ronnie is having a meltdown of meltdowns, 10-6 to Ronnie at start of the session, 11-10 to Brecel now (soon to be 12-10) and its not like Brecel is playing brilliantly. Ronnie has completely lost the plot.

The Selby Higgins match second session has had to end early at 14 frames. Match to be concluded tonight.

Selby has played fantastic Snooker to win 8 out of the last 9 frames to lead 9-5. :scarfer:

Each to their own but Selby would not be my pick. He’s like Eddie Charlton and Cliff Thornburn all rolled into one. The Jester from Leicester my arse.
Of those left, it’s Mark Allen for me

This is the one nickname that cracks me up.

Unless he holds court behind the scenes and has everyone in absolute stitches, surely he's only called that because it rhymes.

Anyway, Brecel knocking out Ronnie in style. Didn't see that coming at 10-6. When he was interviewed, he had a really relaxed, what will be will be attitude. I'd like to see him go all the way and win it.

Also, I'm pleased that Brecel knocked out Williams in the last round.

I've got nothing against Williams in the slightest in fact, I quite like him as a player. It's that we don't have to hear Dennis Taylor say: "That's why we call him The Welsh potting machine", every f**king time he starts to make a break more than 20.,

Very slow 2nd session between Selby and Allen. But 4 frames on the bounce sees Selby take a 7-6:lead.

In fact so slow the session ends with 3 frames left to play.
