Re: Petition against S.T. prices and upping of qualifying age for concession tickets.
Following today's performance there might be some concerned looks exchanged between the boardroom and ticket office after this week's announcement of the season ticket price increases.
Perhaps the powers that be saw a draw against Arsenal and a win against Bournemouth as confirmation that we'd be in the top flight next season and took that as a green light to hike the cost of a ST by up to 8%.
Not content to leave it there, our older supporters get their own special kick in the Jacob's with the age at which the senior ST discount kicks in rising from 65 to 66, while the nonsensical rationale that this is to align with a Government policy is delivered with a straight face.
At a time when everyone's finances are under immense pressure, all of this is utterly despicable yet utterly typical of a regime wildly out of touch with its "customers" and all too willing to test their loyalty to breaking point.
Every single ST holder is affected by this and every single ST holder is expected to pay more.
So well done to Hammers United for launching a petition but now it's down to everyone to get behind it.

Signed and shared as well.
I think the whole thing stinks really, haven't even got the decency to wait until it is confirmed what league we are in, although I do think it unlikely we will go down. What is a shame for me is that carrot of the girls getting their season tickets for a £99 quid when we moved in, and now they are hooked they are going up to £175. 3 of those plus my own one which has gone up over a ton is just greed really.
As it stands it is a real 50/50 on renewing as it is an expense that is hard to justify in the grand scheme of real life, I dread to think what Band 1 and 2 are looking at if they go as a family.

Glad to help watford.
We can all stand round moaning about things like this but if we do not do something and get involved the club will keep on taking the @@@@ out of fans and this will not be the end of it.

Sorry, but a petition will achieve what exactly ? When will people learn that the price of any non essential product is governed by what people are prepared to pay for it. Surely if people genuinely think season tickets, club merchandising, mascot pacakages and so forth are too expensive they should stop paying the prices asked. That would see prices reduce, as they say, at a stroke.,

Re: Petition against S.T. prices and upping of qualifying age for concession tickets.
Kermit.
In April 2022, BEFORE the ST renewal window closed, the Club made a promise to issue Season Ticket cards to those supporters who did not have access to a smartphone. AFTER the ST renewal window closed, the Club reneged on that promise.
When this came to the attention of Hammers United we launched a petition calling on the Club to deliver on its promise.
Thousands of West Ham fans signed that petition and the Club, realising the strength of feeling among its “customers”, quickly reversed its position and Season Ticket cards were issued to supporters who requested them.
It was said at the time that this was a perfect demonstration of what can be achieved when West Ham fans come together and make their feeling known to the Club.
We are now in a very similar situation except this time it is literally every single Season Ticket holder who is directly affected by decisions taken by the Club with, it has to be said, absolutely no consultation with any supporters or supporters’ groups.

April last year the Club promised to issue ST cards to anyone who didn't have access to a smartphone. This promise was withdrawn once the ST renewal window closed.
Hammers United launched a petition which was signed by thousands of West Ham fans and the upshot was that the Club issued the ST cards.
Of course, fans could have individually decided to withdraw their support and jacked in their STs but I think we all know how that would have panned out.
The fact is that when West Ham fans come together to support a common goal, their voices can be heard and changes can be made.
What the Club has done (and its not the first time, nor will it be the last) is to leverage our loyalty to West Ham and try to squeeze every penny it can out of us to the extent that even the worst economic crisis in 50 years has no meaning.
Some fans may well decide enough is enough and choose not to buy a ST while others (myself included) will, through clenched fists and gritted teeth renew. But exercising one of these options does not preclude a fan from exercising the other.
