tbf Leicester are better than Leeds, despite recent results, and we are a lot better at home than away

It is certainly doable that we can finish in 12th place.
I think that would be a great end to this season.

I can think of something that would make the end of the season a lot better than that.Bucksexile wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 8:44 am It is certainly doable that we can finish in 12th place.

Moyes: “We want to try and finish a bit higher up the league and prepare ourselves for the final, so we need to make sure everybody is in the right condition for that.”
"We want everybody fresh but we also want them able and prepared. We don't want the gap between the games to be too long. All those things come into our thinking but we want to keep playing well."
"Nayef is available for Sunday. He's trained today. He missed out with a dead leg but he'll be back.”
"We had a couple of knocks. Emerson had a knock to his knee so I need to see how he is. Gianluca Scamacca still hasn't recovered from his knee operation but I don't think he's too far away now. He had the operation about four weeks ago and I think he will be back ready for the start of pre-season."

Puff.
I always love situations like this that when we do win, I sit there smug as f**k watching scrotes like them trying to backtrack their way out of their original predictions.
Something on the lines of: "Well it doesn't surprise me in the least that West Ham have comfortably pulled this out of the bag. After all, they're on an end of season high and they're all playing for their places in the final in two weeks time".

Re Chelsea, it’s only a 3 goal swing, and we’ve got the better goals scored, so if they lose by 1 and we win by 2 we overtake them. They’re playing Newcastle and Wolves are at Arsenal so we’ve got a great chance of somehow sneaking 12th.

Re: ⚽ Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I’m catching the 11.30 from St Pancras on Sunday.
I’ve just read that for Derby v West Ham in 1927, supporters could pay 10s, the equivalent of £50, for a thickly padded seat and a meal each way in a LMS restaurant car leaving at 11.30 and taking under 2 hours.
100 years later and a worse service on EMR

I’m on the same train on Sunday, but would hesitate to eat anything onboard a train nowadays, for the cost rather than the taste. Some good places to eat and drink in Leicester anyway.

Re: ⚽ Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I think we will turn up for this.
Moyes to play the same team as he intends to play in the final, except GKs.
He might rest one or two players to protect them if there’s any injury niggles, eg Antonio, but it’s ten days to the final and I think he really wants the win.
Leicester are decent up front, but useless in defence. Well soak up the pressure and Bowen and Benny will have a field day on the counter, with Paquetà playing his through balls.
COYIs!

If we play with the same freedom as we did against Leeds then I can see 2-3 goals for us here.Ethanadict wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 11:25 pm I think we will turn up for this.

Finishing the season in 12th, above Chelsea, and Winning the conference league I imagine will make recruitment a lot easier.Bucksexile wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 8:44 am It is certainly doable that we can finish in 12th place.

Re: ⚽ Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Indeed.
I’m sure it’s been mentioned previously but how much money is it per place in the league ?
