Re: RIP Tina Turner
Loved her music a true icon. Her and the likes of Aretha Franklin , Dionne Warwick to name but a few were all legends.

Re: RIP Tina Turner
Definitely a legend - someone who transcended the particular genre of music she played.

Re: RIP Tina Turner
The term 'legend' is a cheap one these days but Tina Turner was the genuine article.

Re: RIP Tina Turner
Only just seen this on 10 O’clock news and even knowing she’d had some health concerns over the last few years, this has still come as a big shock and it has saddened me more than expected.
I can remember seeing her on The Tube back in 1983 with Glenn Gregory and Martyn Ware from Heaven 17 singing Let’s Stay Together . It was a performance that stopped me in my tracks, it was stunning.
A true legend and icon of music with a back catalogue that covers 7 decades and will live on for years to come, Tina Turner will be missed.

It was a great version of the Al Green number.

Re: RIP Tina Turner
RIP Tina, another legend ( an over used term but appropriate in her case) lost.
She has a fantastic back catalogue but I was amazed to hear this morning that when it was released in the States 'River Deep Mountain High' was a flop!
