I much prefer a ticket stub to a programme and they're generally more valuable. Sadly it seems that this will be another print off.

My son went to see his favourite band recently and was chuffed to have a nice ticket only to have it taken on the door. At the end of the gig they were selling replicas for £5 if you wanted a souvenir, which is hardly the same thing as the crumpled one in your pocket that pogoed up and down.

I wonder if in 100 years they'll be a market for rare QR codes?

Touting is illegal at football matches, but there's still loads of them opposite the Cow openly selling under the noses of the old bill.

I took this up with 'a well known West Ham police office' a while ago.
I asked why they tweeted if any supporters were arrested but seemingly did nothing to stop blatant illegal ticket touting.
His answer was it was hard to stop ticket touts as when they saw the police coming they moved on.
I did suggest that there was an easy solution to that.

Since when did PC Plod ever want to get his hands dirty? If it does not involve going on jollys, attending meetings and trying to look important swanning around the WHUSC in his high vis gear he aint interested. There is a dedicated football unit, might be part of the NCA now, where policing and investigations on touting takes place. If PC Plod had any gumption rather than trot out his usual patronising BS he'd be gathering intelligence and passing it on to that unit. He makes me laugh when he comes out with his cobblers treating everyone like idiots. More than a few of those he scoffs at are, or have been, in far senior law enforcement positions than he will ever reach.

Can only assume the 10,000 corporate ticket holders will be getting one each and that the sales are pretty irrelevant.

Already happening in the US as all Major League Venues are electronic ticketing now!!

I went to a Baseball game in April and after the game, i received an email to download my Commemorative ticket!!

I could even put it up for sale via the app!!

For the Euro's and the World Cup, you can apply for the physical tickets after the event, just a reasonable shipping charge to pay.
