Blatant attempt to save her own career, she is as bad as him imo.

Re: Schofield and ITV
Think Fry is 65 now so his partner must be 35 - I make it his partner was 26 when they got together , Fry would have been 56 .Bend it like Repka wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 8:06 pm If you are 55 and with a 30 year old, its not really an issue is it? Both very much adults.
50 with a 16 year old. Very very different imho
But yeah , I agree a 50 year old trying it on with a 16 year old doesn't sit right with me or anyone else I'd imagine .
Should we raise the age of consent ?

Bill Cosby and R Kelly suggest that anyone can use their star power to be inappropriate with others

Re: Schofield and ITV
I normally went by the 'half your age and add 7 rule' (when it ends up in a legal age result anyway)...so there or thereabouts IMO.

Re: Schofield and ITV
Whenever I hear about these stories of older folk going off with much younger folk my first thoughts are ' What on earth do they find to talk about ? ' .
' What Playstation games do you like ? ' .
I find it all so weird .

Re: Schofield and ITV
Depends I suppose on whether or not the producers are running on the belief that there's no such thing as bad publicity, and enjoying some sort of ratings bump thanks to this brouhaha (I've no idea if they are getting higher viewing figures right now, but I imagine it to be a distinct possibility).
But I definitely think they should take it off-air. Run a load of old Batman repeats for the Summer, then bring it back completely re-jigged with a new look, new name, new titles and new chief co-anchors (which would obviously mean jettisoning Willoughby. Shift her onto a dogs**t primetime Saturday night gameshow or something).
(NOTE: As I write this, Giles Brandreth is on the couch, doing bird noises and talking at length about Percy Edwards from a million years ago, and everyone is laughing kind-of desperately)
(Not MY couch, obviously. The This Morning couch)
