I'm not entirely convinced by Omorodion as a striker that's ready to go now. Definitely one to be coached and one that could be great in the future. Right now though, he looks very raw and his finishing is twice as bad as Antonio's.

It's because he can't find Portugal on a map.

Omorodion would imply either Antonio or Bowen will be our starter up top.

A more experienced player would potentially relegate Antonio to bench as a starter with Bowen on right and Kudus on right.

I'd not be worried in either scenario.

I don't mind defenders making the odd ricket provided the rest of their play is up to scratch. And, I think Mavropanos general defending is very good. Paqueta made many more forced and unforced errors, and wasn't it Zouma who gave the hospital pass to Phillips that started his demise at West Ham?

Antonio struggled to score all season and we still scored more than 60 goals last season. If there is any position we can afford to allow someone to bed in it is upfront. Their all round play and presence is much more important than their goal scoring.

Our 20 goals man is already at the club. It is how we complement him.

There is a need to get past this "strikers score goals" narrative.

? + Bowen + Kudus
Is already one of the best forward lines in the league.

If we begin the season with Mavropanos as one of our 2 starting CBs, we are bang in trouble.

Is his all round play really good? I'm surprised that so many know of him - I'd never even heard of him until linked! Just worried he might be the Spanish Broja.

Also - though we might not want him to score a load of goals - we probably also don't want him missing sitters on a regular basis either. Teams that do well tend to be efficient.

Was Antonio close to joining Wolves whilst Lopetegui was there?

If so, I could see him being used quite a lot next season.

I'm expecting hip-hop music, slow motion cut together footage of Guilherme in various poses draped in a Brazil flag, poorly cut together footage of him running with the ball.

Samba to East London

#WelcomeLuis
Will include something about him playing in the streets of Brazil with him doing some keeoy uppies in front of an urban background, probably a wall with graffiti.

Please sign Soule.

He said back in March that he had rejected an offer from Saudi and his dream is to play in the Premier League one day.

Did I see they wanted 40m for him?! That feels unlikely

The only thing that seems clear at the moment is with the new recruitment structure in place none of the usual media sources seem to have a clue what’s going on, which from a fans perspective of wanting transfer news is a bad thing but for the sake of doing good business in the transfer market is really good

Graeme Bailey, whoever he is, linking us to Raheem Sterling on TBR football. Clickbait I think.

Antonio scored reasonably regularly when fully fit. He finished the season with some goals, pretty much 1 in 2 over last 12 games - as well as the other benefits he provided

How long he will stay fresh and fit, who knows
