Well done Girls..Absolutely Brilliant,Watched every game,Actually enjoy and get more excited in watching the Girls over the Guys now..
Find when watching Men.. trying to get behind Blokes that on a Saturday I'm calling dirty little diving cheats.
Don't have that prob with girls.

Something bout Leah Williamson reminds me of Mooro...so cool calm and collected on the ball, makes well timed great tackles, can pick a
killer ball at time....and comes of the pitch looking she just about to start a game...

Brilliant Girls..love it.

What a performance by the Lionesses - the teamwork, resilience, determination and a real squad game … they all realised they had an important role to play and were marshalled superbly by Wiegman. Hampton and Kelly were top drawer, and the rest of the team not far behind.

Definitely a case of ‘It ain’t over til it’s over!!’

Brilliant stuff. While the football is slowly losing itself to generational fans being priced out, huge clubs using loopholes in financial fairplay to spend ridiculous amounts, VIP BS and all other kinds of commercial nonsense, it was refreshing to watch a tournament that revolved around the game itself.
I thought we could be heading home after our second game but the resilience was just insane. Also very happy not to watch England lose four finals in a row!

"Chloe Kelly's winning penalty against Spain was clocked at 110km/h - faster than the most powerful shot in the men's Premier League last season - scored by Alexander Isak"

Bit poor ot greeting thousands of fans at Southend, they were in terminal building an hour and a half and waved from a distance as they left and got on bus, no handshakes, autographs.

A 5 or 10 minute delay wouldn't have hurt. Ca t understand why they were in terminal so long

They'll probably never have thousands waiting to greet them at an airport again, lots of children stood for hours. Bad darts.

I've been thinking more about this today. I watched the whole match, and is as clear to me now as it was then, that Spain, were the better team on the day, played the better and more measured football, were, more skilful and their movement, both on and off the ball, was superior to ours.. But they didnt win and they didnt win, because what our girls lacked in skill, they more than made up for in guts, effort and sheer determination.Older Hammers will remember those friendly internationals, we used to stage at Wembley, normally played on afternoon's, back in the Late 50's and 60's when Sir Walter Winterbottom was manager and even a couple under Sir Alf Ramsay, often against far more technically gifted teams, inc Brazil, Spain and Italy, an absolutely, tip.top team then, but England, with players, like Johnny Haynes,,a young Bobby Charlton and Nat Lofthouse, up front and Tom Finney on the wing, were by far less gifted and by far less skilled, almost always, came out on top, simply due to thexsame reasons, our girls won yesterday

Great for the country.

Great for women's sport.

Fifteen minutes after the final had ended I saw three young girls out the back, all enthusiastically kicking a football around.

With a young lad too....outnumbered.

Yeah I watched and thought that....really poorly organised, must have so disappointing for the youngsters there, who like you said waited ages
to see the Girls.

Team will get their buzz on the Bus Parade tomorrow....just a short one down the Mall at Midday tho.

Be amazed if she doesn't get Sports Personality Of The Year next time. If Mary Earps can get it for telling some Spanish player to **** off, and have problems getting her Goalkeeper replica kit in the shops, I'd say Kelly is nailed on for it!

I'm curious why they flew into Southend airport, if they had to get to London ?.l know it's called London Southend Airport but really, it is nowhere near London, when surely London City Airport is the nearest Airport to Central London, where they had to get to. Anybody who knows the area, knows that the A13 is a right bitch of a road and the A127, even worse and they are the only roads in and out of the place
