Co-op/Splitscreen Games

Post by 'stone hammer »

Thought I'd start a thread for those of us who are particularly fond of splitscreen games. Me and the bird love platform and puzzle games and we seem to be having something of a co-op boom in the gaming industry.

Here are a few that i'd recommend:

Split Fiction - Came out recently, definitely A-tier in terms of production. Very fun platformer, quite fast-paced. If I had to make a criticism I'd say the story is a bit lacking but it makes up for it with some very fun and varied gameplay.

It Takes Two - Same creators as Split fiction and largely follows the same formula, another puzzle platformer.

Escape Academy - This one's for you if you love escape rooms. One of the best simulations I've played, you can both co-op and vs your partner.

Wobbly Life - Open-world sandbox, silly game that is surprisingly good fun and a very fleshed out world.

Unravel Two - Another puzzle platformer, quite short but very good.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure - Probably my favourite within the list. Proper challenging but very satisfying platform game.

Degrees of Separation - A charming little puzzle game that takes a decent amount of cooperation.

Pode - Bit of an obscure one, fairly short and sweet puzzle game that has a certain charm about the world.

Add any recommendations as we're always on the lookout for new games to play.

Streets of Rage 4 is nostalgic fun, if beers and beat em ups with a mate is your thing

I'd always highly recommend the Borderlands series. My wife & I have put quite literally thousands of hours across the series and our two dogs are named after some of the characters we played as (Maya & Zero).

Bonus of a brand new one coming out in less than a month too.

EDIT: They are a fun co-op shooter game focussed on getting progressively better guns
