FAB vote of “ No Confidence” in WHU Board update: Meeting tonight with Interim CEO
In response to increasing disquiet and concerns from the 25,000 loyal fans and members of our constituent groups the Fan Advisory Board
(FAB) wrote to the club on Friday expressing a vote of “ no confidence” in the Board as detailed below. Not an easy decision and certainly not one taken lightly.
The email was sent to David Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky, Tripp Smith and Vanessa Gold.
We have postponed publication until this morning allowing the club to make a meaningful response.
The FAB will update its members as appropriate, and remain determined to work with the club on behalf of fans for a better West Ham experience both on and off the pitch.
To the shareholding directors of West Ham United Football Club
It is with regret that we feel we need to write to you on behalf of the 25,000 or more dedicated West Ham United supporters that we, the FAB
members directly represent. We now have no choice but to issue a "vote of no confidence" in relation to the Board’s management of the club.
Just two years after winning a European trophy and selling our best player who had been with us since he was 14 for £105m to hear claims of
financial distress, (a year after the last accounts said there were no PSR issues on the horizon) see an ageing uncompetitive squad, inadequate
scouting infrastructure and a derided training facility is simply unacceptable and in the supporters’ eyes incontrovertible evidence of
sustained failure on behalf of the executive management.
You will have seen the recent supporter run survey completed by over 9,000 Hammers and run by totally independent sources including the FSA. It is a damning indictment of the club, and in particular the stadium, which far from being viewed as “World Class” is the most criticised
ground in the country and home to a match day experience regularly subject to negative chanting from away fans.
You told us that our move to the London Stadium would take us to the next level. The reality is, our commercial revenues are now dwarfed by
our supposed rivals. Supporters find themselves casting envious glances at the likes of Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford and Crystal Palace all
of whom outperform West Ham United both on and off the pitch.
We need professional full-time executives with both football and commercial expertise, and no further Board interference, no more dependence on favoured agents, in short, a move to a competitive professional leadership. The recently quoted description “analogue club
in a digital world” is very apt and has to change.
You have no doubt heard our members are calling for multiple protests at forthcoming games. We now have no choice but to support those calls and are engaging with the relevant authorities to ensure lawful compliance.
The FAB would far prefer to be working with the club in a progressive manner. However, we trust you’ll understand current circumstances
threaten our existence as a top flight club.
We look forward to your response by return and will not make this letter public until noon Monday 1st September 2025
Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,

Re: FAB vote of “ No Confidence” in West Ham United Board
I flatter myself i am rather good at a complaining critical letter or email. This is superb.
I fear too many fans thought and think the fantastic performance at Forest was a turning point. We all hope that is, but even so the three games preceding it were a shambles. And the board are culpable.

Does someone have contact in mainstream media who could run with this?

This is great. Looking forward to reading Lady Brady trying to save herself by trying to divert away from her own ineptitude by blaming the fans in her next gutter press article.
Re: FAB vote of “ No Confidence” in West Ham United Board
Excellent summary of where we are at present on
the continuing demise of this great football club.
Despite the owner and his sidekick’s efforts to divide
and conquer the fanbase, I sense a real solidarity
amongst new and old that change must come.
Now we cannot take our foot off their throats.
Brilliant work from all involved

This isn’t about results or beating Tottenham its the 15 years. To everyone I would suggest you be on the right side of history. These are bad people who own us

Re: FAB vote of “ No Confidence” in West Ham United Board
Fully behind this and hope it's just one aspect of a sustained effort to eventually remove Sullivan and Brady from their positions at the club.
I feel it's important to highlight the way they communicate with the fanbase as another of their failures. To call it unprofessional doesn't' even scratch the surface. The communication from Sullivan via C&H is akin to that of a child, while Brady's interviews are full of self-congratulatory rhetoric delivered in a calm, patronising manner.
Above all, they both lie on a regular basis and never seem to get challenged by anyone in the media on these lies.

Re: FAB vote of “ No Confidence” in West Ham United Board
Feels like a turning point.
For all of you who have been made to feel isolated from this club over the years and have packed it in, please come back, we need you now more than ever.
This is YOUR football club, and the fight for it is far far from over.

Re: FAB vote of “ No Confidence” in West Ham United Board
That's a very significant letter.
That's pretty much the entire FAB collectively giving direct feedback to the club.
