⚽ Burnley 0-2 West Ham Utd (7/2/26)

Post by Colne Dynamo »

Saturday 07/02/26

Kickoff: 15:00hrs

Thought I'd start it seeing as though I used to live there and have Burnley supporting family.

Won't be easy.

From what I’ve seen of Burnley this year, they seem to be in most games and competitive until that extra bit of quality from the other side takes over.

Tough game.

Anything less than 3 points is failure.

Doesn’t matter how it’s done.

Without Todibo , their chances to win the game has increased considerably.

The way were attacking first half, I can see us being 0-3 up at half time.

If we sign a proper centre half in the next day or so, we'll go on to win the game in 90 minutes. If we don't then the score could be anything.

After throwing away the points yesterday, we have to win this to give us a slim chance of survival,
Nothing other than 3 points will do ⚒

If we attack like we did against Sunderland and Chelsea we'll dismantle them.

We’ve basically f*cked almost every “must win game” this season haven’t we?

Burnley 2-2 West Ham.

Let’s be honest, in most seasons a defeat at Stamford Bridge is pretty much par for the course and we pushed them harder than we usually do.

Important the players don’t dwell on the late gut punch and make up for it in a game we should be targeting for 3 points. We’re better than them.

One or both of Leeds and Forest will drop points next weekend too so all feels pretty pivotal.

Indeed, Todibo has been great snuffing out trouble.
Losing him is worse than yesterday's defeat.

Time for some other to really step up

If Kilman starts, we lose.
It's a risk, but I'd rather start with Golembeckis or Soucek at CB.

We are going to win this 4-2

3-1 up at half time then draw the second half

Summerville in red hot form

Bowen aswell

Taty to get his scoring going in the league

Can’t really argue with anything above. Don’t win this and we don’t stay up, simple as that for me, even a draw is not enough.

I actually think we’ve played really well the last few games albeit losing yesterday. Burnley obviously have nothing like the firepower Chelsea do. We’ll concede but I also think we’ll create lots of chances.

i don't have a good feeling about this. the last time we went to a relegation certainty with the burden of needing all three points just to tread water it was a disaster.

what i'm hopeful about is if we get a 2 goal lead, i don't see burnley getting back into it, but they'll know that too and they'll be content to frustrate us until our levels drop.
