So 2 goals last week from set pieces, 1 from a long ball and 1 from a set piece today.

Are we Bolton in disguise?

Beckham's now picked up 4 assists in these two warm-up games, more assists than Lennon got all last season!

I must say that I am starting to see the appeal of Crouch and Owen as a partnership....as Owen makes it 4-0. I'm wondering if Rooney had been fit would he have got the header to knock it in the box for our first as Crouch did, and would either Rooney or Owen have reached the cross for our third goal? Maybr there's some mileage in the pairing.

How anyone can complain about Owen or Beckham being in the starting lineup in beyond me. Owen has 36 goals in 77 games for England, and Beck's set plays are immense.

And I would take off Beck's now if he has a sore ankle, and put on Lennon. The way this game is going he will terrorise the Jamaican's.

Joe Cole has a better free kick ratio than Beckham with 100% success rate, 1 free kick 1 goal

My point is Beckham is completely overrated, he cant tackle, he cant take a player on. Lennon would be a better all round player imo

Jamaica have had some good chances of their own. Could've been 4-4 at h/t.

Beckham's passing is so good that he doesn't need to beat players as he generally spots a pass before they get near him. Fair play on the 'can't tackle' issue though, also he can't head a ball, has no pace and can't use his left foot for anything other than standing on.

With all the good headers of the ball we have, you still need someone to put it in the right places. Nobody does this better than Becks, his vision and accuracy in superb.

However, I do question if Sven would have the balls to take Becks off for Lennon if it needed it.
