Is your car park big enough for an artic?

Is there any weight limits or low bridges to concern myself about if im in the area?

Most importantly, would you mind a 60' wagon parked outside your pub?

We have an HGV limit on the road we are in, but you can park round the corner OK. We often have Latvian artic drivers attempt to come down our road but they soon give up and have to reverse painfully slowly!

You could borrow a moped instead. ..

I went to this pub on saturday afternoon as i had to be in milton keynes, so i popped in.

Its a nice old village pub (there is the west ham mirror in the corner he weren't lying!!)

Landlady was excellent, choice of ales, lagers and ciders was top notch and if i am in the area again i will pop in.

also the locals dont do that thing where they stare at you when you walk in - a big plus point!!!

good pub. :crest:

You may already know that the Barrel was made into a restaurant many years ago, first Italian and now Indian (the Fort) and the Junction has had the latest of its many refurbs and has a huge decking area out the back. I think you'll find the Mitre basically unchanged . .
Utterly true .

Used to have a boarding school at the top of the hill , the mitre was the nearest pub we could hear the school bell from when they were rounding us up of an evening
.

A pint of Ben was the order of the day back in 1980 .

How bizzare - Villiers was starting to grab a bit of trade then , but for me you couldn't beat a pint of Carlsberg in the three cups .

You still there Manfields? Might pop over Saturday if I can't get a ticket, see me mum in the morning like a good little boy and then pop down for the game.
Pink Palermo - are you in the area, are you going down there?

I went to that Boarding Schol at the top of the hill

Mansfield, are you still there? I was in Buckingham the other day doing some shopping for mum and normally take the back roads through town on the way home which takes me pass the Mitre, but went straight up Tingewick road instead, Wondered how you're coping through lockdown?

Had a chat with Pink Palermo the other day as we both went to the same school and both drank at the Mitre back in the 80's.
