Premier League
Southampton 1-2 West Ham United

Felipe Anderson's inspired second half brace was enough to secure West Ham's FIFTH win of the month as United returned to the top half of the table.

The Brazilian extended his lead at the top of West Ham's leading goalscorers chart with two exceptional strikes that were enough to secure United's third successive away win and ensure they have still been beaten just once on the road (at Brighton) since August.

Following a disappointingly-dull opening half, the game came alive within four minutes of the restart when Southampton took the lead through Nathan Redmond, who eventually bundled the ball over the line with his hand.

However parity was restored before the hosts' celebrations had ceased in the stands, when Anderson gave Alex McCarthy no chance with a superb drive into the bottom left corner just three minutes after Redmond has opened the scoring.

And the Brazilian took his personal tally for the season to eight when he doubled his tally for the night with a superb effort after West Ham had caught the Saints on the counter. Michail Antonio's perfect delivery was dispatched with aplomb by Anderson, who left McCarthy no chance.

It was an exceptional performance in the circumstances by West Ham, who were missing no less than ELEVEN first team squad members through injury - including Pablo Zabaleta who had been due to start the game, but whose omission left Manuel Pellegrini with just six substitutes to choose from.

The win takes West Ham back up to ninth in the Premier League table. We'll have a full match report for you soon...
