Premier League
Bournemouth 2-0 West Ham United

Manuel Pellegrini may be slowly effecting change at West Ham but the same old deficiencies remain glaringly obvious.

Earlier in the season West Ham followed up a morale-boosting defeat of Manchester United with a 1-0 reversal at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Meanwhile today, the Hammers sunk to a demoralising 2-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium just seven days after beating Arsenal reasonably comfortably.

That ability to deliver a bloody nose to the top clubs has always been mitigated by a propensity to fail against the perceived weaker teams - and once again that was the case as Eddie Howe's side scored twice in the second half to take all three points.

Callum Wilson opened the scoring for the hosts eight minutes after the restart when he fired home from the edge of the penalty box.

And the points were secured deep into injury time when Josh King added a second for Bournemouth, with West Ham pushing for an equaliser.
