Player Ratings

Lukasz Fabianski
Nothing to do. As easy a game as he?EUR(TM)ll ever have had.

Ryan Fredericks
For all the intricacy in our play, Fredericks at a gallop and his burst of acceleration often made use of space better than anyone else

Ben Johnson
Solid defensively, linked well forward.

Fabian Balbuena
Rarely bothered, dealt with most things calmly.

Issa Diop
A couple of silly, rash tackles but otherwise fine.

Mark Noble
Pretty much controlled the tempo of the game and kept control of the midfield. One bursting run forward that rolled back the years, otherwise it was brain speed that kept him a step ahead. Made 154 passes, next best was 81.

Tomas Soucek
With the short passing and low crossing, Soucek was rarely given chance to shine. Still controlled and patrolled well in the middle and made runs into the box.

Manuel Lanzini
Flourished in a no pressure game where he was a level above the opposition. His feet and his thoughts were too fast for his opponents and he was playing with a complete freedom.

Andriy Yarmolenko
Took his goal brilliantly in his first game for the club as a central striker. Could have had more, half openings late on that went wasted by too many touches.

Said Benrahma
As with Lanzini, Benrahma had fun and played with the confidence of a player who knew he was better than his opponents. Neat, intricate and clever football, his assist for Yarmolenko was another example of his final third passing that creates goals.

Pablo Fornals
Took his goal brilliantly and was on a good wavelength with Lanzini and Benrahma.

Substitutes

Oladapo Afolayan
(Replaced Soucek, 70) Came on to play a bit deeper than Yarmolenko, brought energy and enthusiasm, which was rewarded as he followed in and got his first West Ham goal.

Nathan Trott
(Replaced Fabianski, 83) Had nothing to do in his 10 minutes.

Jamal Baptiste
(Replaced Fredericks, 83) Got forward down the right but didn?EUR(TM)t have much time in a game that had eased down.

Vladimir Coufal
Did not play.

Aaron Cresswell
Did not play.

Craig Dawson
Did not play.

Angelo Ogbonna
Did not play. Other unused subs: Declan Rice, Michail Antonio.
