by Staff Writer
West Ham are up to sixth place in the Premier League after beating Manchester United at the London Olympic Stadium with to a couple of second half goals.
A tight and laregly uninspiring affair burst into life in the 72nd minute when the prolific Jarrod Bowen gave the Hammers the lead with his 13th goal of the season. And Mo Kudus put the icing on the cake by adding a second - his 10th goal since moving from Ajax - to secure three points for David Moyes' side in their final outing before Christmas.

Player Ratings
Alphonse AreolaBarely tested and a clean sheet today to follow on from the shutout against Wolves in our last Premier League fixture.

Vladimir Coufal
Feathers barely ruffled due to the visitors' impotent attacking unit, a much more comfortable game than at Anfield on Wednesday.

Emerson Palmieri
Looking good bombing forward but still frequently affords opponents a little too much time and space when defending.

Konstantinos Mavropanos
One major ricket from which he was lucky to escape and still seems to be struggling with the pace of the Premier League. It's early days for the Greek still though.

Kurt Zouma
Back in the side after injury and a captain's perofrmance. Once superb last-ditch interception probably saved the day with the score at 0-0.

Tomas Soucek
Sat deeper than previously was the case once again and did a grand job shielding the defence.

James Ward-Prowse
Pushhed into more advanced areas today and it paid off. Looks like he's been at the club for years.

Edson Alvarez
Decent effort, stepped in to save the defence on or two occasions. And he didn't get booked!

Mohammed Kudus
He's a baller and the rest of the Premier League is finally beginning to sit up and take note. Another brilliant finish after making a goal for himself.

Lucas Paqueta
Irresistable when he's in this kind of mood. The lofted pass with the outside of the boot that led to Bowen's opening goal was simply outrageous.

Jarrod Bowen
Another appearance, another goal. That's 13 in 24 already this season for Bowen, who surely can't be ignored by Gareth Southgate much longer.

Substitutes
Pablo FornalsNot involved long enough to influence proceedings, but good to see him on the pitch (however briefly).

Ben Johnson
More minutes for Johnson, who has barely kicked a ball in anger this season prior to this week.

Thilo Kehrer

Aaron Cresswell

Angelo Ogbonna
