Marshall began his career at Bangor Rangers, playing with the club until the age of seven before moving to Glentoran. He later joined the Academy of rivals Linfield, making his senior debut for the Northern Irish side in November 2021.
In January 2022, Marshall joined West Ham for an undisclosed/nominal fee. He was a member of the team which won the 2023 FA Youth Cup, defeating Arsenal 5?EUR"1 at the Emirates Stadium in April or that year.
On 16 January 2024, Marshall made his senior debut for the Hammers when coming on as an 80th-minute substitute in a 1?EUR"0 FA Cup defeat against Bristol City.
Marshall has spent time on loan with West Bromwich Albion (2024) - for whom he played just 55 minutes before returning to West Ham three months later due to a lack of game time - and Huddersfield Town (2024/25 season) where he was voted Player of the Year after a thoroughly successful season in the Championship.
On 7 August 2025, he was granted the number 50 shirt in Graham Potter's first team squad. Five months later, on 7 January 2026, Marshall joined Bundesliga 2 side VfL Bochum on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.
On 30 July 2026 Marshall's time at West Ham ended after he secured an ??800,000 switch to League One Luton Town.
