Born in Rotterdam to African parents, Summerville played youth football at RVVV Noorderkwartier before joining the Feyenoord academy in 2008.

In March 2018 he signed his first professional contract with Feyenoord. On 12 December 2018, he joined FC Dordrecht on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season.

In August 2019, he joined fellow Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag on loan. He returned to Feyenoord at the end of his loan spell ahead of the 2020?EUR"21 Eredivisie season.

On 16 September 2020, Summerville joined Leeds United for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year contract. On 3 August 2024, Summerville joined West Ham for a fee of ??25 million.

On 24 July 2026, following West Ham's relegation from the Premier League, Summerville joined Saudi side Al-Hilal for ??55m plus an additional ??10m in add-ons.

Not the player his burst of form made him look, this is more the level he plays at consistently. The odd good moment, but he flatters to deceive.

Dangerous in moments and got two players booked, but has lost the confidence that had him playing on instinct alone around the box. Looks back to being a bit indecisive. It was a tough game to impress in, but he had his moments that got the defenders scared of him and opened up more space.

The odd moment of quick feet was not enough to lift this to an acceptable performance. It was all show, no final product as he beat men in tight spaces and rarely got anything with it. Well marshalled, and it's tough against a back five as the wide centre can cover any gaps from the wing back, and the two midfielders sat deep to limit space. Needs to find more, but also needs sides who will leave space for the counter.

Not at his best, but didn't need to be, and made sure to get through the defensive work, and did so well to win the ball back for the move to make it 2-0.

(Traore 46') Showed his skill and how dangerous he can be as he ran at Kayode and gave him a torrid time, but couldn?EUR(TM)t find a final ball or shot. Then gave away the penalty, which was probably him making a last-ditch attempt to put Kayode off after letting him get in front of him. Hopefully, he?EUR(TM)s got a knock, not a strain, but he never got running again and it?EUR(TM)s not a good sign that he didn?EUR(TM)t take a penalty.

Delivered a peach of a cross that Wilson will wonder how he missed, and then took his goal with aplomb. It wasn't easy, but he made it look simple as he curled the ball around Leno and won his side the game. Has started finding smart space in the more central areas.

He threatened and it?EUR(TM)s clear his confidence is up, but couldn?EUR(TM)t quite have the moments that have defined his recent games, and the big early chance was one he?EUR(TM)s been scoring lately. Still looks sharp, and he needs to stay that way as teams are currently scared of him.

(Traore 83') Exactly what was needed in the moment, he came on brimming with confidence and played like he knew he was better than anyone else on the pitch. No hesitation, just driving at players and forcing them back. Should have had a second.

Skipped around a few for fun and had Dalot scared, but the goal run never looked like continuing. Didn't quite get into dangerous areas, much to do with the way Manchester United controlled the ball for long periods, and he stuck to his defensive work throughout.

Just a completely different man since the goals started. It's not just those goals, now five on the spin, but his all-round game, with the winger confident in everything he does and beating players for fun. Walker resorted to bully-boy tactics to get hold of him, and a better referee would have stamped down on the pushing, shoving and consistent fouling that the right back got away with again and again. A lovely finish, the perfect little dink.

A great goal, working very hard to make it into the box and onto the ball by Wan-Bissaka, and he played with confidence. He danced through players in tight spots and carried well to relieve pressure. Second half was lesser, but he did make runs that helped the defence, and might have made more if others hadn't faded and started to not make passes.

Absolutely brilliant first half display. Now playing with such confidence in the way he runs at defenders and in the way he travels into the box. He will be crucial in our survival bid.

Looking like the man we thought he could be, the confidence of finally scoring against QPR has seemed to unshackle him from his own self doubt. Now he's darting around, beating players for fun, and looks dangerous in the opposition area. Where that kind of header came from, nobody knows!

Frightened the pants off Tottenham's rickety and unreliable defence, a real force when driving at Spurs' rearguard. Rewarded for his efforts with a second consecutive goal.

At times frustrating, but certainly West Ham?EUR(TM)s most dangerous attacker. Great cross for opening goal. Very harshly denied first goal of the season. Very encouraging signs for his form.

What a frustrating footballer. He did beat players on occasion, but often running into traffic. He's lost any instinctive play, often waiting on the ball first to check his options rather than playing with freedom, and he freezes in and around the area. He's starting to look like one of those players that is too good for the Championship, not good enough for the Premier League.

He looks really threatening until you see what he does with the ball when it matters. He's a lovely dribbler, has great pace and scares defenders, but he too often fails to do much of anything with it once in dangerous areas.

He's got it all until he gets into the box, at the moment. The one-on-one was offside anyway, but he should have put that away, and lacked the composure to curl an effort around Verburggen when given a great opportunity.

Questions have come up about his output with goals, but the assist today came from him threatening goal and using his pace and trickery to scare defenders in their own box. His carrying from deep and pace on the counter is a massive asset to this team.

His pace means defences have to plan accordingly, and he is useful for starting attacks from deep and then running on to threaten in behind. It's still not quite clicking in dangerous areas, but his dribbling was important for the team regardless.

Does nice things in ineffective areas, but does not threaten goal enough. He was not helped by a move to the right, which seemed to limit his running space, but failed to shine on the left, either. Looked to be rattled by a crowd that welcomed him back with boos and jeers.

Looks deceive with Summerville. He does some excellent dribbling and can slink through players, but offers very little in terms of end product.

Just couldn't show his dribbling and trickery in dangerous areas, but he did track back, sat deep when needed and then carried from his own half.

Whilst others were flat, Summerville was not, and looks like he is finding his place in this team. Tricky at pace, he terrified defenders and was a spark when West Ham were lacking one. We got worse after he went off.

He works very hard and showed his ability to beat players on the ball, but lacked an end product. I didn't help that Wilson could neither keep pace with him or make use of the space Summerville made for him.

Didn't have a great influence in attack before being taken off on the hour. The speed in the attack, and just into this team in general, is appreciated and makes some difference, but a compact game saw him achieve little.

(Fernandes 82') That's an amazing appearance off the bench. Just came on and immediately wanted to run at tired defenders, which terrified them. Two assists and the pass before the cross for the third. Welcome back.

Dangerous when West Ham were flat, and whilst he did go down some blind alleys, he scared his opponents with quick feet and direct running.

By no means the standout, didn't have a big influence, but his pace offers a threat and he held the width well. Keeps possession rather than trying something difficult, which makes him suited to a higher level like the Premier League.
