vs Crystal Palace
0-0: Monday, 20th AprilDid not play.
vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
4-0: Friday, 10th April(Played 12 minutes, sub)
(Pablo 78') Kept the ball as the game faded away as a contest.
vs Leeds United
2-2: Sunday, 5th April(Played 90 minutes)
He was as bad as anyone else in the first half, and could be frustrated not to be allowed a spell in the changed shape and team after the break, but the midfield looked much better with Soucek alongside Fernandes.
vs Aston Villa
0-2: Sunday, 22nd March(Played 90 minutes)
Kept the ball well and battled, but made a couple fouls fighting for balls he couldn't win, and got lost in the shuffle.
vs Burton Albion
1-0: Saturday, 14th February(Played 10 minutes, sub)
(Lamadrid 72') Unlucky to be sent off, it wasn't quite a red card challenge, but a lesson for him as he does launch himself into tackles sometimes.
vs Manchester United
1-1: Tuesday, 10th February(Played 90 minutes)
Had a very good game as he was parachuted in over a striker. Five interceptions is high, and he was good in the air, too. Both he and Magassa showed today that they are more than just spare options.
vs Burnley
2-0: Saturday, 7th February(Played 33 minutes, sub)
(Wilson 57') The team improved for his presence, and he was combative and energetic. Not a massive influence, but useful.
vs Sunderland
3-1: Saturday, 24th January(Played 15 minutes, sub)
(Castellanos 75') Nice and tidy when coming on. Nothing spectacular but what can you expect at that stage of the game.
vs Sunderland
3-1: Saturday, 24th January(Played 15 minutes, sub)
(Castellanos 75') mBrought on to manage an onslaught that never came.
vs Nottingham Forest
1-2: Tuesday, 6th January(Played 10 minutes, sub)
(Fernandes 80') No comment.
vs Nottingham Forest
1-2: Tuesday, 6th January(Played 10 minutes, sub)
(Fernandes 80') Looked a bit lost and then started firing long balls forward at Walker-Peters.
vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
0-3: Saturday, 3rd January(Played 90 minutes)
As said earlier, his worst performance of the season. However, he is one of many in that aspect. Was not his neat and tidy self yesterday, while showing a lack of awareness when playing that holding midfield role. That cannot happen in the top flight.
vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
0-3: Saturday, 3rd January(Played 90 minutes)
Looked lost as the game got stretched. This has been his weakness since making the first team, he finds it hard to hold a midfield when the game gets quick and his side have piled forward.
vs Brighton & Hove Albion
2-2: Tuesday, 30th December(Played 90 minutes)
Neat and tidy on the ball but wasteful from a couple of set-pieces. Sometimes struggled dealing with Brighton?EUR(TM)s quick transitions but that was also down to limited help.
vs Brighton & Hove Albion
2-2: Tuesday, 30th December(Played 90 minutes)
When the game gets stretched, he does seem a little unable to find his positioning as well. He's a nice passer, and his partnership with Magassa is improving, but a frantic game like this exposed a little bit of a weakness.
vs Fulham
0-1: Saturday, 27th December(Played 90 minutes)
As usual, did the simple things very well but was not defensively excellent, as he gave up spaces in the second half at times.
vs Manchester City
0-3: Saturday, 20th December(Played 90 minutes)
A step to far for young Freddie, whose inexperience at Premier League level was evident today.
vs Aston Villa
2-3: Saturday, 13th December(Played 90 minutes)
Quieter, but with an assist. Kept things ticking over and helped West Ham go toe-to-toe with one of the strongest midfields in the league.
vs Brighton & Hove Albion
1-1: Saturday, 6th December(Played 27 minutes, sub)
(Rodriguez 63') Didn't quite get into the game as much as he would have liked.
vs Manchester United
1-1: Wednesday, 3rd December(Played 90 minutes)
Another composed performance, and the best one as a clear pair with Magassa. Strong, decisive, with keen awareness for danger around him, whilst showing his eye for a forward pass.
vs Liverpool
0-2: Saturday, 29th November(Played 90 minutes)
Didn't look out of place against some of the best midfielders in the league. Strong in the challenge and sharp on the ball. Not a great corner taker, especially when not curling in on goal.
vs AFC Bournemouth
2-2: Saturday, 22nd November(Played 90 minutes)
Snapped into some tackles, but got absolutely swamped in the second half as his side retreated and midfield was lost. Struggled to keep possession, with forward passes absolutely limited by lack of options.
vs Burnley
3-2: Saturday, 8th November(Played 90 minutes)
Another good game, cut short by what is being called a dead leg, although looked like a hamstring injury. Not as busy or as effective as the magnificent Fernandes, but played his role as he needs to. He's strong in the tackle and shows no fear, whilst being tall and strong enough to match the challenge of this level.
vs Newcastle United
3-1: Saturday, 1st November(Played 90 minutes)
His full Premier League debut as he made the start, and he should be a fixture in that team from here. He was the platform for Paqueta's fantastic performance, shadowing him to keep a safety blanket there in case of emergency, and protecting the defence as he marshalled the space ahead of them. Showed he can make a difference in the air, and moves the ball quickly, playing simple but often forward passes.
vs Leeds United
1-2: Saturday, 25th October(Played 25 minutes, sub)
(Irving 65') The cameo was hopeful, with movement and clever zip to his play, just plugging gaps behind the midfield as they pushed forward to try force something. He can run above walking pace, which makes him a revelation compared to the two who started.
vs Brentford
0-2: Saturday, 18th OctoberDid not play.
vs Arsenal
0-2: Saturday, 4th October(Played 29 minutes, sub)
(Magassa 61') Couldn't impose himself on the midfield battle but neither did he look overawed.
vs Everton
1-1: Monday, 29th September(Played 31 minutes, sub)
(Magassa 59') Looked sharp and looked comfortable at this level and intensity.
vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
2-3: Tuesday, 26th AugustDid not play.
vs Chelsea
1-5: Friday, 22nd August(Played 45 minutes, sub)
(Todibo 45') For those clamouring for him to start, this was not a great Premier League debut. Not quite as sharp as he looked in pre-season, and was swallowed up by the game.
Freddie Potts did not play any matches this season.
Boreham Wood
4-1: Monday, 10th July(Replaced Cresswell, 45) No match comments.

2-1: Thursday, 11th MayDid not play.
AEK Larnaca
4-0: Thursday, 16th March(Replaced Soucek 68) Looked good, aware of the danger around him and intelligent with his positioning.
FCSB
3-0: Thursday, 3rd November(Replaced Fornals 66) Did nothing wrong in a dead game. Did line up a shot from 30 yards before remembering he’s a Potts and changing his mind.
Dinamo Zagreb
0-1: Thursday, 9th December(Replaced Yarmolenko, 87) The game may as well have been over by the time he came on.
