Nottingham Forest

4-1: Sunday, 28th August

Did not play.

Aldershot Town

1-2: Wednesday, 24th August

A nice goal but virtually anonymous thereafter - unsurprisingly given that he was played in the centre of midfield.

Doncaster Rovers

1-0: Saturday, 13th August

(Replaced Sears, 82 mins) Not convinced by him as a winger but he did show some pace, which was a different set of problems for Rovers midfield to think about.

Doncaster Rovers

1-0: Saturday, 13th August

(Replaced Sears, 82 mins) Came on, ran a lot, celebrated a win. That's how to do it.

Sunderland

0-3: Sunday, 22nd May

Did not play.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

2-0: Saturday, 1st January

Disappointing from the youngster who showed a reluctance to take on his opponent – perhaps a video of Sears' performance might show him the way.

Everton

1-1: Tuesday, 28th December

Did not play.

Fulham

3-1: Sunday, 26th December

Blackburn Rovers

1-1: Saturday, 18th December

Manchester United

4-0: Tuesday, 30th November

(Replaced Cole, 89 mins) Barely enough time to make an impresion.

Wigan Athletic

3-1: Saturday, 27th November

Drifted in and out of the game. Looked promising when he took on players.

Fulham

1-1: Saturday, 2nd October

Did not play.

Manchester United

0-3: Saturday, 28th August

(Replaced Boa Morte, 90+1 mins) On for a few seconds to see out time.

Oxford United

1-0: Tuesday, 24th August

Not involved as much due to him drifting out of position too often (meaning Spector had to stay back).

Manchester City

1-1: Sunday, 9th May

(Replaced Boa Morte, 64 mins) If it wasn't for the air shot I'd have forgotten he was there.

Fulham

2-3: Monday, 3rd May

(Replaced Behrami, 82 mins) If he was brought on to provide width he failed to do so. There again he only had nine minutes plus stoppage to make a mark.

Wigan Athletic

3-2: Saturday, 24th April

Did not play.

Liverpool

0-3: Monday, 19th April

Comments to follow.

Sunderland

1-0: Saturday, 10th April

The one real disappointment of the day. Struggled to get into the game and his delivery from dead-ball positions was poor.

Everton

2-2: Thursday, 1st April

Some lovely touches but still not quite there yet. The ball through to Cole in the second half was exquisite.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

1-3: Tuesday, 23rd March

(Replaced Kovac, 46 mins) I’d forgotten he was even on the pitch until Diamanti started pinging balls in his general direction. As subs go, not a tactical masterstroke.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

1-3: Tuesday, 23rd March

(Replaced Kovac, 46 mins) Barely featured at all. Being played on the left doesn't help.

Arsenal

0-2: Saturday, 20th March

Comments to follow.

Chelsea

1-4: Saturday, 13th March

(Replaced Mido, 68 minutes) Comments to follow.

Bolton Wanderers

1-2: Saturday, 6th March

(Replaced Kovac, 76 mins) Brought some much-needed width to proceedings – once the other players realised he was there. Unlucky not to score at the death.

Hull City

3-0: Sunday, 21st February

Did not play.

Birmingham City

2-0: Wednesday, 10th February

Did not play.

Burnley

1-2: Saturday, 6th February

(Replaced Collison, 62 mins) Seemed to be the catalyst for the final push. Full of running and another to nearly get on the scoresheet. Created much-needed width in a game seemingly absent of any presence on the wings.

Blackburn Rovers

0-0: Saturday, 30th January

Did not play.

Portsmouth

1-1: Tuesday, 26th January

(Replaced Diamanti, 87 minutes) Comments to follow.

Birmingham City

0-1: Saturday, 12th December

Manchester United

0-4: Saturday, 5th December

Some lively moments but kept straying offside.

Burnley

5-3: Saturday, 28th November

Nice finish for the goal - and a fine delivery from the free-kick for Franco’s.

Hull City

3-3: Saturday, 21st November

Comments to follow.

Everton

1-2: Sunday, 8th November

(Replaced Collison, 45 minutes) Comments to follow.

Stoke City

1-2: Saturday, 17th October

(Replaced Kovac, 83 minutes) Comments to follow.

Fulham

2-2: Sunday, 4th October

(Replaced Hines, 72 mins) Got fed up with nobody feeding him on the left so he came inside. Just as well.

Manchester City

1-3: Monday, 28th September

(Replaced Kovac, 71 mins) Came on in difficult circumstances with the game already dead and buried, tried to get involved but produced nothing of note.

Wigan Athletic

0-1: Saturday, 12th September

Failed to provide any significant attacking threat and faded into anonymity as the match wore on.

Blackburn Rovers

0-0: Saturday, 29th August

A couple of good bursts down the flanks.

Millwall

3-1: Tuesday, 25th August

Two goals that won the game. You can't ask for much more than that.

Tottenham Hotspur

1-2: Sunday, 23rd August

The run in the first half where he did Corluka gave him a hint he failed to take. Needs to show more anticipation in support of Cole.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

2-0: Saturday, 15th August

(Replaced Dyer, 73 mins) Came on and posed a different sort of threat than Dyer had previously. Keen to run at his defender.

Beijing Guoan

2-0: Friday, 31st July

(Replaced Collison, 72 mins) A brief cameo that produced a couple of entertaining runs.

Middlesbrough

2-1: Sunday, 24th May

Slightly fortunate for the goal perhaps, but got through a lot of running and deserved his moment of glory.

Liverpool

0-3: Saturday, 9th May

Struggled to make any impact on the left and, when given an option, invariably took the wrong one.

Stoke City

1-0: Saturday, 2nd May

Flitted in and out of the game a bit. Some good touches but ought to have made a bit more of his second half chance.

Chelsea

0-1: Saturday, 25th April

Cut inside far too often rather than testing the full-back.

Sunderland

2-0: Saturday, 4th April

Impressive full debut. Not afraid to take players on and did his share of the defensive stuff too when required. The goal was an easy finish but none the less deserved for all that.

Blackburn Rovers

1-1: Saturday, 21st March

Did not play.

West Bromwich Albion

0-0: Monday, 16th March

(Replaced Savio, 68 mins) A couple of promising touches but it was always going to be hard coming into such a dead game.

West Bromwich Albion

0-0: Monday, 16th March

(Replaced Savio, 68 mins) No comments.

Manchester City

1-0: Saturday, 21st February

Did not play.

MLS AllStars

2-3: Friday, 25th July

(replaced Faubert,76) Enjoyed the run-out.
