vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

2-1: Saturday, 7th December
(Played 90 minutes)

Should have scored, should have been punished with a penalty against him, but was otherwise pretty good.

vs Leicester City

1-3: Tuesday, 3rd December
(Played 90 minutes)

A high defensive line is always a risk, but adding Mavropanos to it makes that far worse. His decision making under pressure is awful, and he looks uncomfortable running towards his own goal.

vs Newcastle United

2-0: Saturday, 23rd November
(Played 33 minutes, sub)

(Todibo 57) With Newcastle rarely engineering goal threats during the second half, this was as close to a stroll in the park for Dinos as you can get at this level.

vs Manchester United

2-1: Saturday, 26th October
(Played 45 minutes)

A solid comeback, and it?EUR(TM)s unfortunate he was injured. Having got his place back, it was soon gone again and Todibo then played well.

vs Tottenham Hotspur

1-4: Saturday, 19th October

(Replaced Rodriguez, 71) A shift to three at the back was just sad, by this point.

vs Brentford

1-1: Saturday, 28th September
(Played 45 minutes, sub)

(Replaced Emerson, 46) Arguably his best performance, and certainly so this season. Seemed to have better options to pass to from there so didn't dally and panic. Won headers and never got exposed as a centre back out of position.

vs Chelsea

0-3: Saturday, 21st September
(Played 90 minutes)

He's got it all but a brain.

vs Fulham

1-1: Saturday, 14th September
(Played 90 minutes)

His continued mistakes are becoming costly. In this game, his poor decision making and bad defending looked to have been the difference between the two teams, until Ings became saviour.

vs Manchester City

1-3: Saturday, 31st August
(Played 90 minutes)

One big error atoned for, Mavropanos was otherwise controlled and is proving why he's the only centre back who has survived the cull from last season.

vs AFC Bournemouth

1-0: Wednesday, 28th August
(Played 45 minutes, sub)

(Replaced Todibo, 46) Couple wobbly moments, but his front foot defending is very useful to get the team back attacking.

vs Crystal Palace

2-0: Saturday, 24th August
(Played 90 minutes)

After a shaky start, the centre back improved. He's a very good defender to have in reserve, whilst also being one you cannot completely rely on to want as first choice. The mistakes are often entirely unforced, something not clicking in the brain when an unexpected problem arises.

vs Aston Villa

1-2: Saturday, 17th August
(Played 90 minutes)

Couple of iffy moments, couple of alright ones. Not sure he?EUR(TM)s going to be much more than a change for Todibo and Kilman, but he?EUR(TM)s clearly got himself ahead of Aguerd.

Manchester City

1-3: Sunday, 19th May

One or two very good interventions and the defence looks much better for his athleticism in there, even if he lacks the tools of a top defender.

Fulham

0-2: Saturday, 13th April

He has these mindless errors in his game, and they happen too often. Cut those out, and he's capable of starting for a good team. It's sad that he's arguably the best centre back Moyes has currently,

Bayer Leverkusen

0-2: Thursday, 11th April

Whilst he can be rash, his physicality definitely makes attackers uncomfortable, and he can bully players.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

2-1: Saturday, 6th April

Resolute and industrious defending. Strong in the first half when Wolves dominated, and untested in the second.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

2-1: Saturday, 6th April

Resolute and industrious defending. Strong in the first half when Wolves dominated, and untested in the second.

Tottenham Hotspur

1-1: Tuesday, 2nd April

Another strong display at the back. He has the pace and physicality to go into the midfield and snuff things out, but he is looking better now he's used to the backs to the wall stuff. It seems to have limited the aberrations in possession. Should have scored.

Tottenham Hotspur

1-1: Tuesday, 2nd April

A decent performance from the Greek as he kept the Tottenham attack quiet.

Newcastle United

3-4: Saturday, 30th March

Saved Coufal's skin more than once, made an excellent interception of a beautiful cross that Isak was waiting to head home, and he does look comfortable playing as a Dawson-like centre back.

Newcastle United

3-4: Saturday, 30th March

His best game in a West Ham shirt with some crucial interceptions and one particular outstanding piece of defending when he hooked the ball clear to deny Isak.

Newcastle United

3-4: Saturday, 30th March

His best game in a West Ham shirt with some crucial interceptions and one particular outstanding piece of defending when he hooked the ball clear to deny Isak.

Aston Villa

1-1: Saturday, 16th March

Watkins felt like a worrying test for the Greek defender, with his physicality enough to handle Dinos, and the pace and workrate to scare him. But the striker was subdued, and the defender will get credit.

SC Freiburg

5-0: Thursday, 14th March

Whilst he can be rash, his physicality definitely makes attackers uncomfortable, and he can bully players.

Burnley

2-2: Sunday, 10th March

Kept misplacing his passes and that free kick one that was aimed for Cresswell was particularly bad. One of his worst performances in a West Ham shirt.

Burnley

2-2: Sunday, 10th March

Whilst it was a little unlucky, it's also just another panicked and bad decision that sees him score that own goal. He does seem to struggle when the job isn't basic, ugly defending. He's very Craig Dawson, at times.

SC Freiburg

0-1: Thursday, 7th March

Has his shaky moments, but was a magnet to their crosses in the first half. Has great attributes to suit a Moyes defence, but makes rash decisions at least once a game.

Brentford

4-2: Monday, 26th February

Other than the goals, the first in particular, he was much better than Aguerd has been. The second is more of a problem for the whole unit, while the first was panicked reactions to Zouma's poor play. He was strong in the air and in his personal battles.

Arsenal

0-6: Sunday, 11th February

(Replaced Zouma, 45) Looked better than all the other defenders. And his dribble forward was arguably the best attacking moment of the game for his side, and all he did was run until he bounced into someone.

Arsenal

0-6: Sunday, 11th February

(Replaced Zouma, 45) Came on and was the only player that had any desire to get back into the game.

Bournemouth

1-1: Thursday, 1st February

Solid defending, and he dealt with Solanke well, plus one block near the end that possibly saved a goal. Rough to watch on the ball, and it's likely he's back to the bench with Aguerd's return.

Sheffield United

2-2: Sunday, 21st January

Sloppy in possession, not particularly dominant in defence. Should have done better.

Bristol City

0-1: Tuesday, 16th January

In his defence, it's possible the back pass was affected by the lengthy (cut-for-rugby) grass. But there can be no defence for pulling out of a header that could've levelled the scores.

Bristol City

0-1: Tuesday, 16th January

Gave away the only goal and misplaced a lot of his passes in the game. Probably his worst performance for the club so far.

Bristol City

1-1: Sunday, 7th January

His pace was missed, as was his comfort on the ball. A snide little jump into him that wasn't intended to cause injury, but obviously did.

Brighton

0-0: Tuesday, 2nd January

Defended well, keeping mistakes at a minimum and maintaining concentration, which was key in a game where the opposition passed the ball endlessly and waited for space from mistakes.

Arsenal

2-0: Tuesday, 26th December

The better defender was Ogbonna, but Mavropanos was excellent himself and rounded it off with a wonderfully headed goal.

Arsenal

2-0: Tuesday, 26th December

Starting to become an established centre back for the Hammers and an excellent header to score his first goal for the club.

Manchester United

2-0: Saturday, 23rd December

One major ricket from which he was lucky to escape and still seems to be struggling with the pace of the Premier League. It's early days for the Greek still though.

Liverpool

1-5: Wednesday, 20th December

A chance to shine wasted. Caught woefully out of position for Liverpool's second, statuesque for the third and continues to look less than assured against higher-class oppostion.

Liverpool

1-5: Wednesday, 20th December

Wasn’t the commanding presence that we needed in defence and poor passing once again.

Freiburg

2-0: Thursday, 14th December

Comfortable and composed, he was hardly tested but played well.

Fulham

0-5: Saturday, 9th December

(Replaced Cresswell, 46) The team didn't defend much better and he offered nothing as a third centre back who could move forward.

Tottenham Hotspur

2-1: Tuesday, 5th December

Did not play.

Tottenham Hotspur

2-1: Tuesday, 5th December

Crystal Palace

1-1: Saturday, 2nd December

Low rating for the mistake he made for the Palace goal but apart from that he was solid.

Nottingham Forest

3-2: Sunday, 12th November

Did not play.

Nottingham Forest

3-2: Sunday, 12th November

Did not play.

Olympiacos

1-0: Thursday, 9th November

Solid, if unspectacular, but built on what was mostly a good display against Brentford.

Olympiacos

1-0: Thursday, 9th November

Some poor moments in the game like when he lost the ball in his own half which led to a counter-attack.

Arsenal

3-1: Wednesday, 1st November

Didn't put a foot wrong throughout the game. Particularly enjoyed it when he brought the ball from back to front and won a corner.

Arsenal

3-1: Wednesday, 1st November

Couple of rougher moments passing the ball, but strong enough and fast enough for this level.

Olympiacos

1-2: Thursday, 26th October

Inconsistent passing and struggled to deal with the pace of Daniel Podence. Poor on his return to his home country.

Olympiacos

1-2: Thursday, 26th October

Some poor passing out was a worry, whilst he could have got out quicker for the first goal.

Aston Villa

1-4: Saturday, 21st October

Did not play.

FK TSC Backa Topola

3-1: Thursday, 21st September

Comfortable on the ball - one wild blast forward aside - and defended well on the front and back foot. A promising start, if an easy one.
