Southampton

1-3: Saturday, 30th August

(Replaced Vaz Te) Ditto.

Southampton

1-3: Saturday, 30th August

(Replaced Vaz Te) Got the ball. Ran down blind alleys. Lost the ball.

Sheffield United

1-1: Tuesday, 26th August

Crystal Palace

3-1: Saturday, 23rd August

(Replaced Downing) Did ok in the few minutes o stoppage that were available to him.

Crystal Palace

3-1: Saturday, 23rd August

(Replaced Downing) On for 2 minutes of stoppage time. If he doesn't replace VT in the starting line-up soon, will be getting pretty fed-up, I should think!

Tottenham Hotspur

0-1: Saturday, 16th August

(Replaced Vaz Te) Like for like in the middle as Kouyate moved back. Not as effective as the man he replaced.

Tottenham Hotspur

0-1: Saturday, 16th August

Looked lively for the last quarter of the game but, as too often, spoilt some of his good work with poor end product.

Tottenham Hotspur

0-1: Saturday, 16th August

Looked lively for the last quarter of the game but, as too often, spoilt some of his good work with poor end product.

Sampdoria

3-2: Saturday, 9th August

Malaga

0-2: Sunday, 3rd August

Schalke

0-0: Saturday, 2nd August

Sydney FC

1-3: Saturday, 26th July

Wellington Phoenix

1-2: Wednesday, 23rd July

Ipswich Town

0-0: Wednesday, 16th July

Stevenage FC

2-2: Saturday, 12th July

Manchester City

0-2: Sunday, 11th May

Tottenham Hotspur

2-0: Saturday, 3rd May

Some good moments but I'd dearly like to know what he sees down those blind alleys he keeps seeking out.

Tottenham Hotspur

2-0: Saturday, 3rd May

One of his better games in an inconsistent seaon. If he didn't torment Naugthon as much as Downing did Rose, Naughton still had an uncomfortable afternoon. Plus one extended, if fruitless, piece of trickery in the box and a brilliant overhead effort saved by Lloris.

West Bromwich Albion

0-1: Saturday, 26th April

Had that one moment of brilliance just after the quarter hour, otherwise as average as most of the side.

Crystal Palace

0-1: Saturday, 19th April

Manufactured himself a couple of chances and had one of his better games this season. Nothing that says he belongs at a top six club, mind you!

Arsenal

1-3: Tuesday, 15th April

Enthusiastic, energetic and threatening in the first half in his preferred CM role. The longer the game went on, the less effective he became; 7 in the first half, 5 in the second...

Liverpool

1-2: Sunday, 6th April

One of his better games this season. Plenty of threat going forwards, if still sometimes lazy working back.

Sunderland

2-1: Monday, 31st March

Dangerous going forwards and ran well onto Carroll's knock down to score. Lazy again at times though. Could have had a goal on 14 but didn't attack a cross; sometimes weak defensively. Also spent too much time moaning about free-kicks he didn't deserve not being awarded. Get on with the game, Mo!

Hull City

2-1: Wednesday, 26th March

The good and the bad again. Somtimes dazzles defenders with his footwork, sometimes trips himself up. Burst into the box well to win the penalty, but looked a bit lazy at other times.

Manchester United

0-2: Saturday, 22nd March

Threatened to threaten, rather than genuinely threatened, if you see what I mean. Worked hard enough, had one delightful little cameo in their penalty box, but ultimately didn't achieve any end result.

Stoke City

1-3: Saturday, 15th March

Everton

0-1: Saturday, 1st March

Didn't change the game at all. In other words, worked had for 25 minutes, but created little.

Southampton

3-1: Saturday, 22nd February

Bolstered things a bit and was unlucky with the one that hit the bar.

Southampton

3-1: Saturday, 22nd February

His season in a 30 minute nutshell - good things & bad things in equal measure.

Norwich City

2-0: Tuesday, 11th February

Only on for 30 minutes, but looked much more like last season's Mo. Made a real impact on the game.

Fulham

1-2: Wednesday, 1st January

Not sure I'd have taken him off unless he s injured – which didn't seem to be the case.

West Bromwich Albion

3-3: Saturday, 28th December

Where is the fight?

West Bromwich Albion

3-3: Saturday, 28th December

Not one of his better days I'm afraid.

Tottenham Hotspur

2-1: Wednesday, 18th December

Immediate impact on a tiring Spurs defence.

Tottenham Hotspur

2-1: Wednesday, 18th December

His energy and will to push forward drove the Hammers on in that vital final 15 minute period. Great cross for the winning goal.

Sunderland

0-0: Saturday, 14th December

We are completely reliant on his energetic runs.

Sunderland

0-0: Saturday, 14th December

Some good runs but the overall effect was spoilt by poor decision making over when to run and when to pass.

Liverpool

1-4: Saturday, 7th December

Hustled and bustled but still not at his best.

Crystal Palace

0-1: Tuesday, 3rd December

Very poor game from him today.

Crystal Palace

0-1: Tuesday, 3rd December

Possibly West Ham's biggest threat from deep but he still flatters to deceive in the final third.

Chelsea

0-3: Saturday, 23rd November

Failed to take the match by the throat like last season. I guess the sponsors had to give an MOTM to someone but I'm struggling to think why it should be him. Or anyone.

Chelsea

0-3: Saturday, 23rd November

A few decent moments but another who's struggling to adapt to a striker-less formation.

Norwich City

1-3: Saturday, 9th November

Diame has been out of favour since failing to put in a shift at Burnley. There were few signs here that a corner had been turned.

Aston Villa

0-0: Saturday, 2nd November

Looked up for it in the 2-3 minutes he was on, clearly demonstrating he has the ability to grab a game by the scruff of the neck when he wants to. I just wish he wanted to more often.

Aston Villa

0-0: Saturday, 2nd November

I'd have preferred him to have started instead of coming on for all of four minutes.

Aston Villa

0-0: Saturday, 2nd November

Showed what he can do in the 3 minutes he was given.

Swansea City

0-0: Sunday, 27th October

Not his best game in claret and blue.

Tottenham Hotspur

3-0: Sunday, 6th October

Not his best game but was solid in defence.

Hull City

0-1: Saturday, 28th September

Out of position and struggling.

Everton

2-3: Saturday, 21st September

Ok. Got kicked about a bit.

Everton

2-3: Saturday, 21st September

Good in spells but I can't help but feel he's a bit wasted on the right. With Morrison in the side that's a necessity as he's a better bet than the youngster to provide cover to the full back on that side but it still doesn't seem quite right.

Southampton

0-0: Saturday, 14th September

Started well but quietened down after a bad challenge.

Stoke City

0-1: Saturday, 31st August

Can influence matches much more than he did in this one. Also needs to get his sights adjusted – his shooting was very wayward.

Cheltenham Town

2-1: Tuesday, 27th August

Infinitely more effective than Diarra who he replaced. Cheltenham looked terrified every time he ran at them. Let’s face it that would terrify most people wouldn’t it.

Newcastle United

0-0: Saturday, 24th August

A mixed bag too. Gave the ball away more than usual and some touches of the sublime.

Cardiff City

2-0: Saturday, 17th August

Busy bustling display from the big fellah. Played a major part in both goals.

Reading

4-2: Sunday, 19th May

Some good stuff in there but had a tendency to overcomplicate things on occasion.

Tottenham Hotspur

2-3: Monday, 25th February

Decent first half. Faded second.

Swansea City

1-0: Saturday, 2nd February

Some good moments but did run into a few blind alleys.

Swansea City

0-3: Saturday, 25th August

Didn't really build on a good debut, and was average throughout. Worked hard to pick the ball up in space to create chances for other players but found it difficult to do so.
