Blackpool
2-1: Saturday, 19th MayA couple of times we were screaming for him to come and collect but by and large this was a good game from the ‘keeper. New contract anyone?
Cardiff City
3-0: Monday, 7th MayOne of the Norwegian gang who were over for this game is the spitting image of Greeno. We told him off as usual for having a few pints of Guinness before an important match. However, the real Greeno could have sat there with a pint and the papers for much of the game. One good save at the feet of a forward and some useful distribution from throws.
Cardiff City
2-0: Thursday, 3rd MayBarely had a save to make. Made up for a couple of dodgy moments - one flapped-at cross and once poor clearance - by mocking the home support, who had chastised him throughout the game, at the final whistle.
Hull City
2-1: Saturday, 28th AprilOne good save. Sat back and watched the match for about 80 minutes. Might have done a bit better with the goal.
Brighton & Hove Albion
6-0: Saturday, 14th AprilFine save in the first half. Probably spent the second half sat on a deckchair reading an improving book or two.
Reading
2-4: Saturday, 31st MarchMight have done a bit better with the 4th but it was offside anyway. A bit of fielding practice aside little else to do.
Leeds United
1-1: Saturday, 17th MarchHad very little to do throughout the game but dealt with everything when called upon. Made one excellent reaction save from a Connolly header in the second half.
Doncaster Rovers
1-1: Saturday, 10th MarchLittle chance with the goal but saved the point with the superb second half save.
Doncaster Rovers
1-1: Saturday, 10th MarchThe only thing that stood between Doncaster and three points.
Watford
1-1: Wednesday, 7th MarchDidn't have an awful lot to do but pick the ball out of his net on one occasion.
Cardiff City
2-0: Sunday, 4th MarchA spot of uncertainty at the start but it was notable that he was barely called upon to make a save worthy of the name.
Crystal Palace
0-0: Saturday, 25th FebruarySome fine saves in the first half kept us in the game in the first half. It was a measure of how things changed in the second half that he was largely unemployed in the second. Probably edges MOTM on a day where it was difficult to really single anyone out.
Blackpool
4-1: Wednesday, 22nd FebruaryA spectator for most of the first half and could do nothing about the Kevin Phillips goal. Made misjudgement for red card and in hindsight shouldn’t have committed himself to the challenge.
Southampton
1-1: Tuesday, 14th FebruaryA brilliant double save and a great fingertip save from Lambert in the first half. Commanding in the air once again, didn’t put a foot wrong.
Millwall
2-1: Saturday, 4th FebruaryAlthough barely tested there were still a few iffy moments dotted throughout the match.
Millwall
2-1: Saturday, 4th FebruarySolid as ever, dealt with everything that came his way. Made one good save from Dunne in the final 15 minutes to keep us ahead.
Nottingham Forest
2-1: Saturday, 21st JanuarySolid as ever. Made crucial save from Tudgay in the second half to keep us ahead.
Portsmouth
1-0: Saturday, 14th JanuaryTwo important saves in the first half. Fewer tests in the second half. If he’s going at the end of the season SuGo will need to ensure funds are available for a decent replacement.
Derby County
1-2: Saturday, 31st DecemberNo chance with the goals. His kicking was a bit erratic though. Kicking to touch for safety reasons was all well and good but he seemed to find the sidelines when he had time to do better
Barnsley
1-0: Saturday, 17th DecemberNot over-tested but the save at the start of the second half was a match winner. Collected crosses well and his awareness and command of the box helped settle an 'unusual' back four combination.
Burnley
1-2: Saturday, 3rd DecemberLittle to do bar pick the ball out of his net. Twice. His distribution was decent enough.
Derby County
3-1: Saturday, 26th NovemberA little casual with one kick in the first half. No chance with the goal and barely tested in the second half.
Coventry City
2-1: Saturday, 19th NovemberOne fine save, several routine ones. The rest was largely practice.
Hull City
2-0: Saturday, 5th NovemberSome excellent saves both in the first half and late on preserved a clean sheet and, in the process, rammed those oh so tedious World Cup chants down some throats. MOTM – just.
Ipswich Town
0-1: Tuesday, 27th SeptemberA couple of good saves in the first half and was beaten by sheer pace for the goal.
Peterborough
1-0: Saturday, 24th SeptemberLittle to do on the day but dealt comfortably with anything that was thrown at him.
Portsmouth
4-3: Saturday, 10th SeptemberOne decent save, no chance with the goals, not really tested otherwise.
Nottingham Forest
4-1: Sunday, 28th AugustHad he not made two stunning saves in the first half it could have been a very different game indeed.
Leeds United
2-2: Sunday, 21st AugustNo chance with either of the goals. Made some good saves and looked strong throughout.
Watford
4-0: Tuesday, 16th AugustHandled well, commanded his area well, great first half save.
Doncaster Rovers
1-0: Saturday, 13th AugustNot overly tested but equal to the job when called upon – one decent save required and made.
Doncaster Rovers
1-0: Saturday, 13th AugustLittle to do throughout but was on hand make the necessary saves when required.
Cardiff City
0-1: Sunday, 7th AugustA couple of smart saves. Possibly might have done a bit better for the goal maybe.
Sunderland
0-3: Sunday, 22nd MayDealt with the long range stuff comfortably enough. No chance with any of the goals.
Blackburn Rovers
1-1: Saturday, 7th MayNo chance with the goal. Made one save from distance in the second half but was largely untroubled.
Chelsea
0-3: Saturday, 23rd AprilA good game. Not worried under the high ball, and made some good saves. Little could be done for the goals.
Manchester City
1-2: Saturday, 23rd AprilA couple of decent saves. He saw the first goal late and couldn't have done anything about the second. Made a bit of a mess of one shot.
Aston Villa
1-2: Saturday, 16th AprilSome fine saves kept us in the match but his distribution was often worryingly wayward.
Bolton Wanderers
0-3: Saturday, 9th AprilThree goals conceded. Recieved little help from his backline. Wayward shooting came to his aid.
Manchester United
2-4: Saturday, 2nd AprilComments to follow.
Tottenham Hotspur
0-0: Saturday, 19th MarchThe save from Bale’s free-kick was out of this world. Mind you I’d have held it!
Stoke City
1-2: Sunday, 13th MarchA fantastic penalty save; there was little he could do with either goal.
Stoke City
3-0: Saturday, 5th MarchOne iffy punch aside he wasn’t found wanting on the few occasions he was required.
Liverpool
3-1: Sunday, 27th FebruaryUnemployed for the first period he weighed in with three fine saves in the second half.
Burnley
5-1: Monday, 21st FebruaryComments to follow.
West Bromwich Albion
3-3: Saturday, 12th FebruaryNot much chance with goals one and two but you'd have liked to see him being alittle more assertive for the third.
Birmingham City
0-1: Sunday, 6th FebruaryBarely tested by the visitors. No chance with the goal.
Blackpool
3-1: Wednesday, 2nd FebruarySlow to react for the goal perhaps but withstood all else thrown at him. Nothing spectacular - for a change - but solid.
Nottingham Forest
3-2: Sunday, 30th JanuaryBusier in the first half than the second when he was less troubled. Might have done a tiny bit better for their second perhaps.
Birmingham City
1-3: Wednesday, 26th JanuaryComments to follow.
Everton

Barnsley
2-0: Saturday, 8th JanuarySkipper for the day, he was barely tested.
Newcastle United
0-5: Wednesday, 5th JanuaryComments to follow.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
2-0: Saturday, 1st JanuaryThree good saves took the headlines though he'd have been disappointed had any of them beaten him.
Everton
1-1: Tuesday, 28th DecemberComments to follow.
Fulham
3-1: Sunday, 26th DecemberComments to follow.
Manchester City
1-3: Saturday, 11th DecemberComments to follow.
Sunderland
0-1: Sunday, 5th DecemberComments to follow.
Manchester United
4-0: Tuesday, 30th NovemberYes we had a silly second in the second half but without his superb save in the first things could have been a lot different.
Wigan Athletic
3-1: Saturday, 27th NovemberOk he had a good game. The penalty save was decent but it wasn't his most testing of days. So the sponsors' decision to award him MOTM was met with much scratching of heads – not least from our Jem who could scarcely hide the disbelief in his voice when he had to make the announcement.
Liverpool
0-3: Saturday, 20th NovemberComments to follow.
Blackpool
0-0: Saturday, 13th NovemberLooked a bit out of position on a couple of crosses. He'll probably tell you Adam's long range effort was covered – I'm not convinced. Good save from Cathcart at the end though.
West Bromwich Albion
2-2: Wednesday, 10th NovemberComments to follow.
Birmingham City
2-2: Saturday, 6th NovemberComments to follow.
Arsenal
0-1: Saturday, 30th OctoberReally didn't deserve to be on the losing side after that.
Newcastle United
1-2: Saturday, 23rd OctoberNo chance with the goals. One good save but his distribution was poor in this one.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
1-1: Saturday, 16th OctoberAnother goal gifted followed by some superb saves and some more rubbish (another couple of weak punches and a hospital pass to Da Costa). Almost amazing!
Fulham
1-1: Saturday, 2nd OctoberThree really good saves – it'd be nice for us if he told Capello where to stick his England place thus keeping him away from injury.
Tottenham Hotspur
1-0: Sunday, 26th SeptemberI think I vaguely recall him coming for one cross in the first half that he didn't look too convinced about. However the four proper saves he pulled off were breathtaking. There were a number of candidates for MOTM this week but given the rubbish that he's had to put up with since the summer, on balance I think I'll give it to our custodian.

Stoke City
1-1: Saturday, 18th SeptemberLooked shaky, was beaten more times than we actually conceded. Not many times tonight when he gave me confidence. Needs to get himself sorted quickly because he is our only realistic number one.
Chelsea
1-3: Saturday, 11th SeptemberCulpable for the second but he recovered enough to make two decent second half saves.
Manchester United
0-3: Saturday, 28th AugustTwo excellent saves. Little chance with the goals as the defence opened up before him.
Oxford United
1-0: Tuesday, 24th AugustDid not play.
Bolton Wanderers
1-3: Saturday, 21st AugustBolton supporters predictably tried to barrack the keeper but there were so few of them he probably didn't hear. One poor clearance – from a poor throw back to him but otherwise sound.
Aston Villa
0-3: Saturday, 14th AugustSuffered the expected post-World Cup abuse from the home fans and looked edgy. One attempted punch led to Villa's opening goal, but still made one or two decent stops.
Deportivo La Coruna
0-0: Saturday, 7th AugustComments to follow.
Manchester City
1-1: Sunday, 9th MayBossed the box well and made a couple of decent saves.
Fulham
2-3: Monday, 3rd MayGiven no chance with any of the goals.
Wigan Athletic
3-2: Saturday, 24th AprilMight have come for the first so-called corner that Spector put away. However, the tip onto the bar in the first half, together with the free-kick save in the second were both vitally important.
Liverpool
0-3: Monday, 19th AprilComments to follow.
Sunderland
1-0: Saturday, 10th AprilFor all the visitors' comments to the effect that they deserved something out of the game, he had but one proper save to make all afternoon – from Henderson's free-kick.
Everton
2-2: Thursday, 1st AprilLittle chance with either goal and rarely tested otherwise.
Stoke City
0-1: Saturday, 27th MarchLooked in control, came out when he needed to and punched effectively. Much improved. Little chance with the goal.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
1-3: Tuesday, 23rd MarchAs uninvolved as it’s possible to be when you concede three. Not directly at fault for any of the goals, but did little apart from pick the ball out of the net.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
1-3: Tuesday, 23rd MarchFaced four shots, conceded three goals. Not really his fault but he wasn't anywhere near a single one.
Arsenal
0-2: Saturday, 20th MarchComments to follow.
Chelsea
1-4: Saturday, 13th MarchComments to follow.
Bolton Wanderers
1-2: Saturday, 6th MarchNo chance with either goal. Solid enough otherwise.
Manchester United
0-3: Tuesday, 23rd FebruaryMake a couple of decent saves in the first half but looked uncertain for much of the game.
Hull City
3-0: Sunday, 21st FebruaryAlways difficult to judge a ‘keeper when he’s had so little to do. However, during that short spell in the first half when Hull did their spot of threatening he looked confident on crosses and pulled off that marvellous save from Boateng.
Hull City
3-0: Sunday, 21st FebruaryTop save from Boateng. Not a lot to do today but effective when asked upon.

3-0: Sunday, 21st FebruaryAlways difficult to judge a ‘keeper when he’s had so little to do. However, during that short spell in the first half when Hull did their spot of threatening he looked confident on crosses and pulled off that marvellous save from Boateng.
Birmingham City
2-0: Wednesday, 10th FebruaryOne good save first half, one rush of blood in the second. Largely untested in between.
Burnley
1-2: Saturday, 6th FebruaryLooked reassuringly comfortable coming for crosses, but partially at fault for the first, and despite a quality strike looked clueless for the second. Not his finest 90 minutes.
Blackburn Rovers
0-0: Saturday, 30th JanuaryA couple of fine saves though his kicking has seen better days.
Portsmouth
1-1: Tuesday, 26th JanuaryComments to follow.
Aston Villa
0-0: Sunday, 17th JanuaryComments to follow.

1-1: Sunday, 20th DecemberA few uncertain moments early on but a fine save late on.
Bolton
1-3: Tuesday, 15th DecemberComments to follow.
Birmingham City
0-1: Saturday, 12th DecemberComments to follow.
Manchester United
0-4: Saturday, 5th DecemberMight have done a bit better with th first but it was hard not to empathise with him. I felt sick as well.
Burnley
5-3: Saturday, 28th NovemberBarely had a shot to save but, thanks to those in front of him, let in three goals.
Hull City
3-3: Saturday, 21st NovemberComments to follow.
Everton
1-2: Sunday, 8th NovemberComments to follow.
Aston Villa
2-1: Wednesday, 4th NovemberSome fine saves – the one from Petrov in the first half was different class. Given England’s history in penalty shoot-outs must be a cert for South Africa.
Sunderland
2-2: Saturday, 31st OctoberLooked a little flat-footed for the second, though earlier saves had kept us in the lead. Better than of late.
Arsenal
2-2: Sunday, 25th OctoberCame for one he shouldn’t have. Should have come for one he didn’t. Result: two goals. A lot better on crosses in the second half and made two fine saves that ended up earning us the point.
Stoke City
1-2: Saturday, 17th OctoberComments to follow.
Fulham
2-2: Sunday, 4th OctoberA couple of good saves were eclipsed by a couple of howlers. Whilst I can understand a reluctance to go to the Ukraine, South Africa is quite nice in places and it’d be a shame to miss out because of days like these.
Manchester City
1-3: Monday, 28th SeptemberPoor for the second goal.
Bolton Wanderers
1-3: Tuesday, 22nd SeptemberHis usual, reliable self.
Liverpool
2-3: Saturday, 19th SeptemberBossed the box well though some might wonder how Torres’ first got in at the near post.
Wigan Athletic
0-1: Saturday, 12th SeptemberSome comfy saves in the first half. Unlucky with the goal.
Blackburn Rovers
0-0: Saturday, 29th AugustRarely called upon due to Blackburn's inefficiency in front of goal.
Millwall
3-1: Tuesday, 25th AugustMade a couple of decent stops, little chance with the goal.
Tottenham Hotspur
1-2: Sunday, 23rd AugustNo chance with either goal.
Tottenham Hotspur
1-2: Sunday, 23rd AugustNo chance with either goal.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
2-0: Saturday, 15th AugustFive fine saves made a difference.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
2-0: Saturday, 15th AugustFive fine saves made a difference.
Beijing Guoan
2-0: Friday, 31st JulyUntested.
Middlesbrough
2-1: Sunday, 24th MaySolid – if rarely tested. If Robinson or Carson get in the England team ahead of him questions need to be asked.
Liverpool
0-3: Saturday, 9th MayUnlucky with goals two and three. No chance with the first.
Stoke City
1-0: Saturday, 2nd MayBaulked and battered at every turn he still managed to claim a hell of a lot and the save at the feet of Fuller was bravery itself.
Chelsea
0-1: Saturday, 25th AprilOne good save. A number of much easier ones. Some culpability with the goal.
Sunderland
2-0: Saturday, 4th AprilA few good saves, a couple of wobbles some good distribution – including that which set up our first.
Blackburn Rovers
1-1: Saturday, 21st MarchNo chance with the goal. Some good saves in the first half but for all Allardyce’s bluster it was noticeable that the defence’s hard work gave him few saves to make in the second half.
West Bromwich Albion
0-0: Monday, 16th MarchMan of the match almost by default. Fine first half save. Did ok second half despite spending much of it dizzier than a vertigo-sufferer in a skyscraper.
West Bromwich Albion
0-0: Monday, 16th MarchGood save from Morrison and as usual commandeered his area with authority.
Bolton Wanderers
1-2: Saturday, 21st FebruaryAt fault for the first goal and had little to do after we went 2-0 down.
Manchester City
1-0: Saturday, 21st FebruaryLargely untroubled. Caught a few crosses and made a superb fingertip save in the first half from Robinho.
Middlesbrough
1-1: Saturday, 14th FebruaryMade some excellent saves from Downing and Alves.
Middlesbrough
1-1: Saturday, 14th FebruaryOne excellent save and a few more comfortable efforts that could be said to have kept us in the cup.
Middlesbrough
1-1: Saturday, 14th FebruaryOne excellent save and a few more comfortable efforts that could be said to have kept us in the cup.
Manchester United
0-1: Sunday, 8th FebruaryGood reaction save when Scholes shot that was going wide was diverted by Ronaldo. Had no chance with Giggs’ goal.
Manchester United
0-1: Sunday, 8th FebruaryOne dodgy kick and one decent save. Otherwise untested.
Arsenal
0-0: Saturday, 31st JanuaryNot much to do really. Confident on crosses and made the one proper save he had to make with little fuss.
Arsenal
0-0: Saturday, 31st JanuaryNot much to do really. Confident on crosses and made the one proper save he had to make with little fuss.
Arsenal
0-0: Saturday, 31st JanuaryLittle to do but a poor punch at a corner resulted in Collins having to head the ball of the line.
Hull City
2-0: Wednesday, 28th JanuaryVery little to do but an excellent save from Bullard in the 5th minute.
Hartlepool United
2-0: Saturday, 24th JanuaryMissed one punch and made a reasonable save from Gary Liddle.
Fulham
3-1: Sunday, 18th JanuaryHad little to do but some would argue that no goalkeeper should be beaten from that distance.
Newcastle United
2-2: Saturday, 10th JanuaryComfortable enough though I thought he might have done a bit better for their first.
Barnsley
3-0: Saturday, 3rd JanuaryDealt with what Barnsley had to provide fairly comfortably. Distribution wasn’t quite right once or twice and he probably owes Faubert a pint over the latter’s caution.
Stoke City
2-1: Sunday, 28th DecemberA spectator for most of the match – was probably as cold as I was. Did what he had to do without fuss.
Stoke City
2-1: Sunday, 28th DecemberA spectator for most of the match – was probably as cold as I was. Did what he had to do without fuss.
Portsmouth
0-0: Saturday, 15th NovemberMade a number of decent saves – though his handling let him down a bit early on.
Portsmouth
0-0: Saturday, 15th NovemberMade a number of decent saves – though his handling let him down a bit early on.
Everton
1-3: Saturday, 8th NovemberVirtually unemployed all game. Not at fault for the goals.
Everton
1-3: Saturday, 8th NovemberVirtually unemployed all game. Not at fault for the goals.
Middlesbrough
1-1: Saturday, 1st NovemberMade some good saves – let down by the collapse of the wall for the goal.
Bolton Wanderers
1-3: Sunday, 5th OctoberTwo goals were his I’m afraid.
Fulham
2-1: Sunday, 28th SeptemberOnly one real save to make – turned a shot round the post under pressure from Paintsil. Otherwise came and dealt with a few crosses and I suppose we now have to slag him off when he doesn’t save a spot kick!
Newcastle United
3-1: Saturday, 20th SeptemberDidn't really have much to do, produced good saves from N'Zogbia and Geremi.
Newcastle United
3-1: Saturday, 20th SeptemberBarely tested, made two comfortable saves just after they scored but they weren’t the most testing of shots.
West Bromwich Albion
2-3: Saturday, 13th SeptemberA couple of good saves but flapped at a cross or two. T'was never a penalty ...
Blackburn Rovers
4-1: Saturday, 30th AugustOn hand with two vital second half saves that preserved United's slender lead.
Blackburn Rovers
4-1: Saturday, 30th AugustExcellent – and that’s without even taking the penalty into account. On past form he can look forward to a week off thanks to Cappello’s strange insistence on having crap ‘keepers. Oh well England’s loss….
Macclesfield Town
4-1: Wednesday, 27th AugustNothing much to do. Distribution a little better than normal.
Manchester City
0-3: Sunday, 24th AugustSolid enough and – one save in the first half apart – not really tested. The second goal found him on walkabout however.
Manchester City
0-3: Sunday, 24th AugustMade one outstanding save at the end of the first half from Johnson. No chance with the goals.
Wigan Athletic
2-1: Saturday, 16th AugustRarely bothered – unlike the back of the stand – but pulled off a fine save when required.
Wigan Athletic
2-1: Saturday, 16th AugustRarely bothered – unlike the back of the stand – but pulled off a fine save when required.
Wigan Athletic
2-1: Saturday, 16th AugustRarely bothered – unlike the back of the stand – but pulled off a fine save when required.
Wigan Athletic
2-1: Saturday, 16th AugustHad a good game. One fantastic save midway through the second half saved the points. Dealt with virtually everything Wigan could throw at him.
MLS AllStars
2-3: Friday, 25th JulySome good saves, little chance with any of the goals.
Aston Villa
2-2: Saturday, 10th MayMaybe slightly in the wrong position for the first goal but made some fine stops later on.
Manchester United
1-4: Saturday, 3rd MayStrange one really. They had five or so real shots (if you count Ronaldo’s deflection that Sky are probably claiming as genius). No chance with any of them and barely a save to make otherwise.
Manchester United
1-4: Saturday, 3rd MayDid all he could to prevent goals. None of the strikes his fault, let down by defence on copious occasions.
Newcastle United
2-2: Saturday, 26th AprilWas there when he had to be. One very good save from Martins with about 15 minutes to go. Didn't really have a chance with either goal.
Newcastle United
2-2: Saturday, 26th AprilNo chance with either of the goals and not tested for much of the match. Fine save at the end from Martins.
Derby County
2-1: Saturday, 19th AprilFor long periods was bothered by little more than back-passes. However, he made two good saves when required.
Portsmouth
0-1: Tuesday, 8th AprilBarely tested and beaten by what may have been the only shot on target in the whole match.
Sunderland
1-2: Saturday, 29th MarchA fine game. Commanding in the air and safe on the ground. Some dodgy kicks though.
Everton
1-1: Saturday, 22nd MarchAn excellent performance, two superb saves that kept the Hammers in the game.
Blackburn Rovers
2-1: Monday, 17th MarchHad a good game. One crucial stop from McCarthy five minutes from the end all but sealed the win.
Blackburn Rovers
2-1: Monday, 17th MarchAn uncertain start but more than redeemed himself with a fine save at the end.
Tottenham Hotspur
0-4: Monday, 10th MarchLeft woefully exposed for the goals. Kicking left a lot to be desired.
Chelsea
0-4: Saturday, 1st MarchNot at fault for the goals – let down by those in front of him.
Fulham
1-0: Saturday, 23rd FebruaryCoped comfortably with what little came his way. One fine save and a few easy ones.
Birmingham City
1-1: Saturday, 9th FebruaryNothing to do really. Surprisingly let in a penalty.
Birmingham City
1-1: Saturday, 9th FebruaryNothing to do really. Surprisingly let in a penalty.
Wigan Athletic
1-0: Saturday, 2nd FebruaryFew saves to actually make though his positioning was a bit suspect for the goal. There again he’d have been perfectly placed if Kilbane had got his header right!
Liverpool
1-0: Wednesday, 30th JanuaryBarely troubled all night – most dangerous opponent was the pitch that caused an early back pass to bobble.
Liverpool
1-0: Wednesday, 30th JanuaryBarely troubled all night – most dangerous opponent was the pitch that caused an early back pass to bobble.
Manchester City
0-1: Wednesday, 16th JanuaryHe could do little about the goal as his defence had let him down on that one vital occassion.
Fulham
2-1: Saturday, 12th JanuaryProbably to blame for the goal and his kicking wasn’t too impressive today.
Manchester City
0-0: Saturday, 5th JanuaryHe made two excellent saves from Ireland and was generally sound plucking crosses out of the air.
Manchester City
0-0: Saturday, 5th JanuaryOne fine save and did the rest of his job well. Capello please note.
Arsenal
0-2: Tuesday, 1st JanuaryStrangely he was barely tested, though he was a bit too eager to come off his line for the flukey second.
Manchester United
2-1: Saturday, 29th DecemberNo chance with the goal but not really bothered otherwise. Will probably claim to have sent Ronaldo the wrong way for the penalty kick!
Manchester United
2-1: Saturday, 29th DecemberNo chance with the goal but not really bothered otherwise. Will probably claim to have sent Ronaldo the wrong way for the penalty kick!
Manchester United
2-1: Saturday, 29th DecemberIt's hard to think of too much he faced apart from Ronaldo's goal and penalty. Incidentally he has faced four of those this season alone, and has conceded none.
Reading
1-1: Wednesday, 26th DecemberHe made a couple of decent stops early on, but was perhaps guilty of a bit of indecision with defenders.
Everton
0-2: Saturday, 15th DecemberJuggled one in the first half but left exposed for both goals.
Everton
0-2: Saturday, 15th DecemberHe had little to do for most of the game, but still found himself beaten twice as those in front of him floundered.
Chelsea
0-1: Saturday, 1st DecemberNot really tested by the multi-zillion quid opposition. No chance with the goal. Which was offside.
Tottenham Hotspur
1-1: Saturday, 24th NovemberA rare off-day. At fault for the goal. Uncertain handling. A shame McClaren has gone because those seem to have been his criteria for selection in recent years.
Derby County
5-0: Saturday, 10th NovemberDidn’t put a foot wrong mainly due to the fact that, easy crosses apart, he had little to do. Probably had time to start a McClaren-out petition - and sign the first 10,000 signatures himself.

Coventry City

Aston Villa
0-1: Saturday, 6th OctoberDealt with most things comfortably apart from one occasion in the first half where he completely missed a cross. Couldn't do anything about the goal.

Arsenal
0-1: Friday, 28th SeptemberPlayed well, made some important saves.
Middlesbrough
3-0: Saturday, 15th SeptemberPunched one that I thought he ought to have held in the second half but kept us in front with some important saves. England’s loss is our gain.
Reading
3-0: Saturday, 1st SeptemberA comfortable game mostly for Green. He relieved pressure during aerial onslaughts and made up for his foul by saving Doyle’s penalty.
Reading
3-0: Saturday, 1st SeptemberGenerally solid though a knock seemed to restrict him a bit in the second half. Fine penalty save – if only he hadn’t given it away to start off with!

Wigan Athletic
1-1: Saturday, 25th AugustA quiet day for Green, he did well to halt Aghahowa twice- but he could do nothing about the very good goal.
Birmingham City
1-0: Saturday, 18th AugustRobinson, James and Carson are in the England squad. No, really.

2-0: Saturday, 31st MarchRarely called into action but dealt with the rare Middlesbrough forays forward with consumate ease.
Blackburn Rovers
2-1: Saturday, 17th MarchCoped fairly well with everything that was thrown at him - and did enough to put off Pedersen when a goal looked on the cards.

Charlton Athletic
0-4: Saturday, 24th FebruaryNot his fault – had no cover when he needed it most.
Watford
0-1: Saturday, 10th FebruaryHe started a game again. Unlucky with the penalty; just the way the season is going for him. I just hope he doesn’t listen to songs about not being fit to wear the shirt.

0-0: Saturday, 23rd DecemberWhen the ball is hung up in the air you always get the impression he’s going to win it. He did. McLaren won’t drop Robinson but maybe he ought to think about it.
Manchester United
1-0: Sunday, 17th DecemberThe save from Ronaldo was breathtaking but there was a lot of unspectacular stuff going on as well. Solid.
Everton
0-2: Sunday, 3rd DecemberSolid display in goal. Unlucky with both goals, did all he could.
Everton
0-2: Sunday, 3rd DecemberNo chance with the first goal, flapped at one cross, kicking was disarmed by the wind.

Chelsea
0-1: Saturday, 18th NovemberPerhaps at fault with the goal, Green dealt with everything else thrown his way – which was surprisingly little.
Chelsea
0-1: Saturday, 18th NovemberRarely can an away ‘keeper have been tested as little at Stamford Bridge – though there was a wee question mark over his positioning for the goal.
Chelsea
0-1: Saturday, 18th NovemberSurprisingly rarely called into action although he won't be happy with his positioning for the free-kick.
Chelsea
0-1: Saturday, 18th NovemberAlthough he didn't have much to do, I was a little sceptical about his effort to save the goal. A perfectly positioned free kick, but was our keeper in the right place?
Arsenal
1-0: Monday, 6th NovemberRock solid again and made the right decisions. Another excellent performance which should guarantee his first team place for the forseeable future.
Arsenal
1-0: Monday, 6th NovemberCommanding and safe. Some fine saves when the chips were down. Better get used to that bench Roy.
Blackburn Rovers
2-1: Sunday, 29th OctoberOne fantastic point-blank save when the score was still 1-0 and another commanding performance that deserved a clean sheet. If his defenders hadn't fallen asleep as Bentley strolled in unattended in the final minute it would have been.
Chesterfield
1-2: Tuesday, 24th OctoberAnother strong performance, another defeat to accompany it. Faultless for the goals, his saves kept West Ham in the game.
Chesterfield
1-2: Tuesday, 24th OctoberLooked assured throughout, safe hands and good distribution. The save that (sadly) led to Chesterfield's first goal was absolutely top-notch. Roy, keep that bench warm.
Tottenham Hotspur
0-1: Sunday, 22nd OctoberCould do nothing about the goal. Solid debut, producing one good save from everyone’s favourite, Jermaine Defoe. West Ham’s number one from here in.
