Zavon Hines
JamaicaPosition: Striker
Born: 27th Dec 1988 (Jamaica)
Signed: 1st Aug 2007 (£0)
Contract: 2 years (signed January 2009)
Previous Club: Academy
KUMB Awards: Young Player of the Year 2009/10.
Born in Jamaica, the young Hines grew up in London's East End and signed pro terms for the Hammers in 2006. He made his first team debut in a 4-1 Carling Cup win against Macclesfield in August 2008 - scoring during extra time - but failed to feature again.
As a result of the club's well documented financial problems manager Gianfranco Zola was forced to turn to youth at the start of the 2009/10 campaign and Hines was forced into the spotlight.
Having shone in pre-season, Hines repeated his Carling Cup feat against Millwall and is now a regular face in Zola's 18-man first team squad.

Burnley
